In the dining room, William and his father were having breakfast. When they saw her, both stopped eating.
Mrs. Franklin led Mia to William's side and made her sit next to him.

Mrs. Franklin then placed the bottle of contraceptives that she had sent the servant to buy on the table.
Though the bottle had a long string of letters as its scientific name, the words "effective contraception" were prominently displayed.
Mr. Franklin leaned back in his chair upon seeing the bottle.
William furrowed his brows.
