Kitchen knives, frying pans, spatulas, chopping boards, and even a pair of bowls and chopsticks…

Looking at the set of divine-grade kitchenware Thor proudly displayed, Clark couldn't help but feel envious. He even had the sudden urge to take Thor down and claim them for himself.

While preparing breakfast, Thor eagerly introduced each piece of cookware.

"These utensils are all made from Uru metal. They can carry magical enchantments—it's an excellent material." Thor shook the knife in his hand and grinned. "Yes, they're enchanted kitchen tools. For example, these knives never leave odors behind, they're razor sharp, and—just like Mjolnir—they can answer my summons."

That was just ridiculous…

Clark's mouth twitched.

Thor pointed at his frying pan next. "This pan contains a spark of Eternal Flame. It can heat food without fire, and the temperature rises or falls with just a thought. Best of all, nothing ever burns in it."

Could you not say more?

Clark was already dying of jealousy.

"And this thing—though it looks like a rock—it actually carries the power of the Casket of Ancient Winters. It can instantly freeze ingredients, or keep food perfectly chilled."

"And there's more…"

As Thor went on, Clark's eyes were practically glowing green with envy.

Kitchenware? These were weapons of the gods!

"Oh, right. This is for you."

With a flash of light, Thor produced two pistols and handed them over, grumbling, "I still don't get why you wanted these. You can't even cook with them."

Clark's lips twitched. His excitement dimmed, but he muttered, "Maybe not—but I can cook you with them."

Thor: "…"

"My father said these guns are enchanted. Only you, or someone you acknowledge, can use them. Like Mjolnir, they can also answer your summons."

So… Odin just hands out the summon enchantment like it's standard issue now?

Still—convenient.

Clark spun the guns in his hands.

They were his agreed reward from Odin, and he accepted them without guilt. Honestly, he didn't care much about what weapon he got. He had just chosen guns casually, since they were the first weapons he had ever learned to use.

The two guns were revolvers, pure silver-white with mysterious runes carved into them. A silvery glow pulsed across their surface, making them seem alive.

They required no bullets. Each contained a vast store of recoverable energy, and could even absorb energy directly—whether stamina, mental power, or magic—and compress it into ammunition.

The more energy they absorbed, the more powerful their bullets became.

And that wasn't all…

Clark pressed the two guns together.

In the next instant, golden energy surged as the weapons fused. Within a single breath, the glow and the silver-white metal merged into a rune-etched sniper rifle.

Beaming, Clark tucked it away. "Does it have a name?"

"Death and Destruction," Thor replied.

Separated, they were Death. Combined, they were Destruction.

Simple, direct, and brutal.

Clark nodded in approval. "I like it. Thank your father for me."

"Thank him for what?" Thor coughed lightly and grinned. "Just teach me a few more recipes."

"No problem."

Clark agreed readily, then asked, "By the way, where do you usually keep all this stuff?"

"Oh, that." Thor wiggled a ring on his finger. "This Uru ring is enchanted with a spatial storage spell. It can hold plenty."

Seriously? A space ring?

Clark stared at Thor's full set of divine gear and felt like he'd just swallowed a mountain of lemons.

So sour.

Shaking his head, Clark turned and left the dining room. "Hurry up with breakfast. Gwen has school soon."

"Relax, I won't delay her!"

Thor answered cheerfully and got back to cooking.

Clark glanced back. The kitchen was glowing with magical light, and his jealousy nearly spilled from his mouth as bitter tears.

Moments later, Gwen and Clark Jr. bounded down the stairs. When they saw Thor, they happily ran up to hug him.

"Try this!" Thor said proudly, pointing to the table. "See if my skills have improved."

Gwen and Clark Jr. each took a bite, and their eyes lit up.

"It's delicious!"

Gwen added with a grin, "Even better than Dad's! How did you do it?"

"Heh-heh!"

Thor chuckled smugly.

Clark's lips twitched.

Damn pay-to-win god!

Covered head to toe in divine gear—if Thor still couldn't outdo him, that would just prove Thor was utterly useless!

Clark Jr. nodded, glancing at his father before saying seriously, "It's true. Even better than Dad's cooking."

Thor's grin grew wider and wider.

That smug look…!

Did he think he was some crooked-smile war god?

Clark grumbled inwardly, then donned the stern air of a father. "Eat quickly."

"Bleh!"

Gwen stuck out her tongue before asking Thor, "You'll be here for lunch too, right?"

"Of course!" Thor nodded. "Clark's teaching me some new dishes. And… Jane's busy these days, so I'll stay until she's free. Then I'll spend time with her before heading back to Asgard."

He laughed foolishly.

Wonderful! That meant two full days of feasts!

Wonderful! That meant two days without cooking!

Clark's family of three all cheered inwardly.

"Eat, eat!" Clark urged.

After breakfast, with Gwen and Clark Jr. off to school, Clark cleared the table. He and Thor chatted for a while, bringing Thor up to speed on current events. Clark even handed him a smartphone, downloaded the superheroes' chat app, and added Thor to the group.

A flood of greetings poured in.

After a few exchanges and a promise of a Halloween feast, Thor's eyes burned with excitement.

"Let's begin!"

"You mean… cooking?" Clark asked.

"Of course!" Thor rubbed his hands together, eyes blazing. "Time is precious. We must seize every moment—every minute, every second!"

Clark winced.

Was this guy… on fire?

Still, having something to do wasn't bad. Clark smiled faintly and stood.

"Come on, we need to head out first."

"Where?"

"To buy groceries," Clark said flatly. "How can you cook without ingredients?"

Thor nodded earnestly, then frowned. "Uh… I don't have money."

"I'll cover it."

Thor lit up instantly. "Then let's go!"
