As Albedo go out of his room, Shido was left alone again inside while thinking of his plans from now on. Truthfully, when Shido had sex with Albedo, he thought that he would complete the quest 6 which was to subjugate a Floor Guardian, but that was it either.
At first Shido guessed that he could complete the quest by defeated a Floor Guardian, but he was wrong. Now, even pushing down a Floor Guardian didn't complete the quest, this left him with the final answer of planting one of them his slave crest. Though, it may be a forceful to use this kind of trick, it was the only way for Shido to complete his quest.
With his plan now clear, Shido decided it was time to return to Re-Estize. He hadn't been back in two days. Putting Frieren and Clementine aside, he was sure Rumia and Tuare, those two angelic girls, were probably worried sick about him. He intended to teleport directly to the capital, but before that, he had to do something first.
[You have upgraded Concept of Multiply to (Perfection Level).]
[200,000 SP has been deducted.]
Shido opened the system interface and directly upgraded his skill 'Concept of Multiply' to Perfection Level. The price might be high causing him to loose a significant amount of SP but with the upgrade of this skill, it was surely worth the price.
Concept of Multiply (Perfection Level) - an ability of Kasukabe Kagami from Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry. It grants the ability to manipulate the concept of multiplication, increasing the number of virtually anything.
A grin crept across Shido's face. Now that the skill had reached almost it's peak form, the scope of what he could multiply had expanded dramatically. And he was confident he could now replicate anything at least 10,000 times over with the amount of mana he had.
What was even more astonishing was that, unlike before, when the copies were weaker than the original, the perfected level of this ability now produced duplicates that retained the full power of the original. Each copy was just as strong, with no loss in quality or strength, in addition to being permanent.
Yes, permanent.
As long as Shido didn't cancel the effect of multiply or it was destroyed then it will exist forever.
However, when Shido used this ability on himself, unlike before where he only produce a clone of himself. With the current level of this ability, the duplicate wasn't just a copy, it was Shido himself. His consciousness existed simultaneously in both bodies, perfectly synced. There was no 'fake' Both were the original, sharing the same mind and the same soul.
"Multiply."
As Shido spoke, another version of himself materialized before him, as if he were staring into a living mirror. Strangely enough, he could control both bodies simultaneously, each moving exactly as he willed. The sensations between the two were indistinguishable; the duplicate's body felt no different from his original. Shido could tell immediately, their composition was identical, down to the last detail.
What was even more impressive was that there was no drop in power. His strength hadn't diminished at all, meaning there were now two Shidos in existence, both possessing the same overwhelming level of ability.
With a small nod, Shido acknowledged that everything was proceeding as planned. With this, he could finally return to the capital.
He glanced around the room, the very place where he had indulged himself with Albedo, leaving her body thoroughly marked as his. Then, with a silent thought, Shido vanished, leaving behind his other self in Nazarick.
...
Re-Estize Capital City
"Look! That's Acheval Dreissen, the leader of the new Adamantite-ranked adventurer group, Metal Vessel!"
"Wow, he's so handsome…"
"I wish I could join their party!"
"Keep dreaming!"
As Shido strolled through the bustling streets of Re-Estize, his striking visage drew the attention of nearly everyone around him. It wasn't surprising, he had always stood out. His naturally commanding aura and refined features made him impossible to ignore. On top of that, there was his Love Spot ability, which amplified his charm even further.
Even though he had it turned off, mainly to avoid any… unwanted attention, its effects weren't fully suppressed. Ordinary citizens and low-ranking adventurers still found themselves captivated by his appearance, unable to look away.
After all, his Charm stat had skyrocketed straight to S-rank in a single leap. So, really, it wasn't all that surprising that the crowd reacted as if they were witnessing the arrival of a celebrity idol.
Still, Shido ignored their gossips and admiring gazes and continue to walk forward. However, his ears perk up slightly when he heard something that caught his interest.
"Now, our kingdom has a total of three Adamantite-ranked adventurer groups!"
"Huh? What era are you living in? There are four Adamantite groups now."
"Four? How could another Adamantite group appear just like that?"
Disbelief was clearly written on the face of the man who still believed there were only three.
"Hmm… aside from Red Drop, Blue Roses, and the recently risen Metal Vessel, there's another group that suddenly appeared. One that's achieved just as much, if not more, than the first two, though maybe not quite on par with Metal Vessel. They've slain dangerous monsters, ventured into uncharted lands, resolved regional famines, and more."
"..."
The other man remained silent, his expression serious as he listened intently to the speaker.
"But what's even more amazing," the man continued, lowering his voice slightly for dramatic effect, "is that there are only two members in that group."
"What?!"
"Impossible!"
The surrounding listeners, who had been eavesdropping on the conversation, couldn't help but cry out in shock at the absurd revelation.
"Well, that's what I thought too at first," the man said with a shrug. "But if you don't believe me, go ask the Adventurer's Guild yourself. The records are all there. Besides, Metal Vessel was the same, they started with just two members, and now they're three. So it's not that unbelievable, right?"
The others nodded in agreement, finding the explanation reasonable. However, one of them raised a question that instantly piqued everyone's curiosity.
"By the way... what's the name of this adventurer group?"
The man paused for a moment, then answered with a serious tone.
"It's... Darkness."
