Chapter 293 - Chapter 293 I'm Here to Find Someone

This was an underground dock, built beneath the prison.

A submarine floated on the water's surface, while five figures in black uniforms stood on the shore.

Among them were Bear and Shark, the two who had previously injured Sanbica, along with three unfamiliar faces.

"Intruder?" Someone muttered reflexively.

"I'll go check it out." Bear said, and went straight to the freight elevator.

Clort Prison was located in the center of the island and had almost never experienced intruders or escape attempts.

The recent infiltration by a woman had already been an extremely rare occurrence, but considering she was a member of 'that team', it wasn't entirely surprising.

Now, this sudden tremor seemed to be the work of another intruder. And at this very moment, when their plans were about to be set into motion, Dove had chosen to wait several extra hours just for that woman.

If not for that, they would have already left the prison… who would care about these trivial disturbances?

Bear stepped into the freight elevator and pressed the button. The lift carried him upward toward the surface.

Shark rubbed her chin thoughtfully before following him toward the elevator.

On the south side of the prison, in an open field.

The sound of gunfire pierced the prison's sky.

Faced with the unprecedented sight of an intruder falling from the sky, the prison guards showed no mercy and attacked the dust cloud before it could even settle.

Muzzles flashed as scorching bullets poured in from all directions, piercing the dust.

Inside the dust, Law stood up straight, spreading his Domain two meters around him, and stopped many bullets in mid-air.

'Seems like I'll have to force my way inside to find her.'

A cold glint flashed in Law's eyes. Once he had stopped enough bullets, he reflected them all back.

In an instant, the bullets shot out from the dust cloud with even greater speed and force… straight toward the guards on the walls and in the watchtowers.

In less than a second, forty-five guards were struck down. With that, gunfire instantly ceased.

Some fell from the high walls, while others collapsed where they stood.

"You should've done that from the start." Kuro said coldly as he looked at the wall that had turned into a river of blood in an instant.

Law waved his hand to disperse the dust that filled the surroundings, and then said in a deep voice: "Help me find Sanbica."

"It's been almost a week. She might already be dead." Kuro said leisurely.

Hearing this, Law's eyes suddenly turned cold. He didn't even want to think about that possibility.

If he found Sanbica's corpse, then he would bury this entire prison with her!

He is not a member of the Hunter Association, nor is he Netero. He didn't need to consider political consequences or legalities.

He was a man from another world, and there was no need for him to abide by the laws of the country in this world. He also didn't think it was a big deal to just destroy a prison.

"Whoa, what a scary look." Kuro pretended to tremble in fear, but his eyes remained utterly calm.

"Enough nonsense. I'm telling you to help me find Sanbica. Do you understand?" The Aura around Law was like boiling water, unstable and dangerous.

Kuro hovered in the air, shrugged in a humane way, and then said coldly: "It's not impossible to help you find her, but... I want authorization."

"What authorization?" Law stared at Kuro.

"To kill. Of course, only for the enemies within this prison." Kuro said seriously.

"Granted." Law's unstable Aura gradually stabilized. Although he knew that Kuro wanted to take advantage of the situation to gain some benefits, he didn't care at all.

Seeing that Law had granted the authority, Kuro immediately became excited and transformed into a body like a black panther in the air and landed on the ground.

The instant his paws touched the concrete, he shot forward like a bullet, vanishing into one of the prison's buildings before Law could even blink.

At first, he acted as if it was none of his business, but after gaining the authority, he became like a wound-up spring, more excited than anyone else.

Law watched Kuro disappear into the left-wing buildings and then turned toward the right-wing buildings.

At the same time, the prison's alarm system blared to life, and the shrill sound echoed throughout the prison.

Tap, tap…

The guards from other sectors rushed over via the connecting aerial walkways and linked walls.

The moment they arrived at the scene, they noticed their fallen comrades and then turned their attention to Law.

Click-clack!

With the crisp sound of rifles being raised and bolts pulled back in unison, a row of pitch-black muzzles all aimed downward at Law.

Law had originally intended to release his Aura and knock this group of ordinary people unconscious, but they were far too decisive. The moment they understood the situation, they opened fire on him.

A deafening barrage of gunfire echoed across the open space, and a hail of bullets came raining down again.

However, the storm of bullets pouring toward Law became their own death sentence.

The bullets were stopped mid-air, then reflected back. Soon, the ground was littered with corpses.

Law scanned the surroundings and after confirming everyone had been shot dead, he continued walking toward a nearby building. But he only made it a few steps before stopping.

The buildings within the prison were generally taller than the outer walls, arranged in an orderly fashion in the center, connected by aerial walkways.

Kuro had darted into a building on the left side. Law chose the one on the right, leaving the central building for later, planning to search the area and then tighten his net.

The reason he suddenly stopped was due to a ferocious Aura emanating from the building in the center.

Law looked toward it and saw a tall, burly figure stepping out from the doorway, striding outside and locking a cold gaze on him.

It was a bald man, well over two meters tall, with a head full of scars that gave him a menacing look. His hands were also covered in scars.

This man was wearing a slim-fitting black uniform. His bulging muscles looked as if they were about to burst through his clothes, and he exuded the presence of a wild beast.

As Bear walked out of the building, he immediately smelled the heavy scent of blood in the air.

He glanced around, and saw not only were there corpses slumped along the high wall, but over twenty bodies also lay scattered across the ground.

Seeing that all the guards stationed outside were dead, Bear's face remained expressionless.

Crack.

He clenched his hands and looked at Law coldly, as if he had no intention of asking about Law's identity. Perhaps in his eyes, regardless of Law's purpose, he would soon be just another corpse

His Aura surged, and the pressure he exuded became more and more astonishing. He was ready to attack.

"I'm here to find someone, you might..." Law began, glancing at the burly man, but stopped halfway through, because the man had already charged at him without saying a word.

Law looked calmly at Bear coming at him aggressively, and covered his body with Aura.

'Sure enough, asking questions after the fight seemed more reliable than asking before.'

Bear charged straight up to Law, raising his hand and trying to grab Law's head in one vicious motion.

Law raised his eyelids slightly and took a step back to avoid the grab. Then, he stepped forward and turned his hand into a chopping motion, slicing at Bear's extended right arm.

Bear pulled back in time, but couldn't evade Law's follow-up strike.

Bang!

Law landed a punch to Bear's abdomen, sending him flying with blood spraying from his mouth.

"Not a bad reaction."

Pressing his advantage, Law immediately pursued the airborne Bear.

The opponent blocked the punch just now by using his Aura in time, but Law's fist was still faster and still managed to injure him.

Bear flew three or four meters before crashing heavily to the ground.

The moment he hit the ground, he used both hands to push off and quickly adjusted his posture, looking up as Law closed in.

Just then, a soft voice came from the doorway of the central building.

"White is trouble."

As soon as the words were spoken, a white arrow came from the side and shot towards Law's side.

Law stopped in his tracks, turned his head toward the arrow flying in from the right, and expanded his Domain, instantly slowing the arrow's speed. He then reached out and caught it between his index and middle fingers.

"Heehee~"

At the entrance of the building, Shark giggled playfully, waiting for the arrow to transform into thorns, but in the next second, her playful expression froze.

It's because the white arrow caught between Law's fingers suddenly dissolved into points of starlight and vanished into the air.
