"Tch. Is this a Dark Guild? They're pathetic," an arrogant female voice rang out.
Above the trees,Mirajane hovered in her "Satan Soul" form, her demonic wings spread wide. On the ground below, Lisanna and Ultear appeared.
"This is a Dark Guild? Picking on a little girl is truly disgusting!" Lisanna cried out, rushing to Yukino's side and glaring at them.
The Eisenwald members were speechless, staring at Mirajane in terror. In her Take Over form, she looked more like a true demon than a human.
"Let's finish this quickly," Ultear said boredly, tossing her green crystal ball into the air. "We shouldn't keep Joel waiting."
To someone like Ultear, a guild like Eisenwald was the bottom of the barrel. If it weren't for Erigor, they wouldn't even be worth mentioning in the underworld. While Mirajane's group handled the subordinates, Joel and Erza had headed straight for the clearing where Ophiuchus and Erigor were locked in combat.
"Damn it! There are only three of them. Let's go together and kill them!"
The scarred man, having scrambled to his feet after being knocked back, shouted with a face twisted in rage. Emboldened by his words, the members of Eisenwald drew their weapons and charged toward Lisanna and Yukino. In their eyes, the two girls looked like the easiest targets to take down first.
"Take Over: Animal Soul—Pangolin!"
A magic circle flashed beneath Lisanna's feet. In an instant, she transformed, curling her body into a hardened, armored ball. She launched herself forward like a high-speed wheel, plowing directly into the charging crowd.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The sounds of heavy impact were drowned out by screams of pain as Lisanna mowed them down. Some Eisenwald members tried to strike back, but her body was covered in thick, iron-like scales. Their weapons simply bounced off, unable to even scratch her defense.
"Damn it... they must be wizards from a legal guild sent to take us down!" Kageyama gritted his teeth. Magic power surged through him as the shadow serpent beneath his feet lunged toward Lisanna.
Before it could reach her, Mirajane appeared in a flash, intercepting the attack. Her golden steel claws, shrouded in dark energy and crackling with purple power blades, swiped through the air. With a single motion, she tore the shadow snake into harmless wisps of energy.
"What kind of monster is this?" Kageyama stammered, stumbling back as he met Mirajane's cold, indifferent gaze.
"What do you think you're doing to my sister?"
Mirajane's voice was icy, laced with a terrifying undercurrent of anger. Staring into her eyes felt like looking into the abyss of hell. Kageyama broke into a cold sweat; the sheer pressure radiating from her "Satan Soul" form was overwhelming. As a mage who had only recently begun to find his footing, he had no defense against the raw, demonic aura she projected.
"Run! Run for your lives!"
"We can't fight this! Where is the President?!"
The Eisenwald members who had managed to stand up were now paralyzed by fear. Seeing them turn to flee, Mirajane didn't give them the chance. She raised her hands, gathering dark energy.
"Dark Spark!"
Orbs of dark magic erupted from her palms like cannonballs, seeking out every fleeing member with deadly precision. A series of explosions echoed through the forest. One by one, the wizards were blasted off their feet, falling unconscious before they could even scream. Kageyama took the brunt of the attack; he collapsed, barely clinging to life.
"Is that it? Eisenwald is this weak?" Mirajane sighed, releasing her Take Over form. She looked genuinely disappointed. "And they call themselves a Dark Guild? I thought this would be a real fight, but they're just a bunch of amateurs."
Yukino trotted over to Mirajane and Lisanna, bowing deeply. "Thank you... thank you so much!"
"It's fine," Mirajane waved her hand dismissively. "Saving you was just part of the mission."
"Our mission was to take down Eisenwald anyway," Lisanna added, walking over to Yukino with a warm smile. "But seeing a group of grown men surround a young girl like that... what a bunch of scum! Are you hurt?"
Yukino froze for a moment, stunned by the genuine concern in Lisanna's voice. It was the first time anyone had cared for her like this since her sister had left. A wave of warmth filled her heart.
"We can talk more later," Ultear interrupted, walking over from where she had been observing. "We need to find Joel. It looks like the big snake has been defeated."
Behind them, the massive form of Ophiuchus had already faded away, returning to the Celestial Spirit World. Yukino gripped the Ophiuchus key. Through their contract, she felt that the spirit had exhausted its current energy and retreated. The battle on the other side was over.
