The sky opened up as rain came down heavily from the clouds as though the heavens themselves were mourning with him.
Zorian didn't move from the spot he had been in,mud splatter sticking to his legs as his arms were still wrapped tightly around Ishara's lifeless body. His tears mixed with the rain streaked down his face without end. His clothes clung to his skin and cold seeped through his flesh but he didn't care. He couldn't even feel it. It felt like he couldn't even feel anything. The only thing he felt was the painful, crushing emptiness inside his chest like someone had ripped his heart had been ripped out and could never be returned.
Isla stood close watching everything unfold with tears streaming down her cheeks. She was still dry as the rain didn't affect her because she really wasn't here. The droplets passed through her as though there was nothing but empty space there. Isla had never lost someone very close to here so she couldn't relate to how he felt.
