Chapter 202 - Chapter 202 The Main Culprit.

Right after the elves left, Andrew ordered every ship in his fleet to be upgraded with tier 5 shields and engines.

The task was taken on by every shipyard in the territory, except his own, which immediately started building ships with the new tech.

Additionally, the database contained a lot of information about the Moon Elf Empire and its neighbors, some merchant families, nobles, and a lot more.

However, he had some trouble closer to home, and that was the first thing to get over with on his list.

Thanks to the GPF's database and maps, he managed to map out almost a third of the Andromeda galaxy.

To his surprise, the Lantean empire was one of the larger star nations around.

It also turned out that there were thousands of smaller territories supporting the GPF, and many of them relied on it for protection.

Unfortunately, some used its power to deal with their enemies, and the attack on their territory was a great example.

After reading through the file they had on the Empire, and who were the ones to accuse him in more detail.

Andrew discovered that most of the territories that accused him were connected.

The main culprits were: the Five races federation, the Dranixian republic, the Cherix council, and the Rose association.

That last one made Andrew so pissed that he could barely contain himself.

He remembered Sophia Hajduk mentioning this name when she was gossiping with his sister.

It was something she found in a TV Drama and liked the name.

That alone would not piss him off as much since there were hundreds of thousands, if not millions of humans watching that drama.

However, as soon as Andrew remembered this, he compared his main system's location and the main system of the association, discovering that they were around six thousand light years away from each other.

The exact distance that Sophia was away from his territory when Terelen told him about it.

What's more, it was the Association that gathered the accusers and convinced them to move forward with their claims.

Added with the fact that Sophia's favorite tactic was to manipulate others to get what she wanted.

It started to make perfect sense, and Andrew was certain that she stood behind this all.

-You want to do what?

Runir, Aelita, and the rest of the ladies asked when they heard about his plans.

-I'm taking a thousand ships and going to even some scores with the Rose society.

He repeated himself.

Andrew expected such a reaction, even after he explained everything to the ladies.

-Don't go.

Let Arien and I go and deal with it.

Runir protested.

-I can't.

This is something I have been waiting for a long time to do.

Andrew refused.

-But will you're friend be alright with it when you take down her sister?

Nairin asked.

-Alex knows of our past, and she is no big fan of her sister.

Additionally, even if she hates me afterwards, I still need to do this.

The human said, not changing his mind one bit.

-So what's the plan?

Runir asked with a sigh.

She knew that there was no way for them to convince him to let this go.

-First of all, I need to contact Ritkil and Fidna and inform them that my fleet was going to go through their territory and assure them that they are not the target.

Then I'll gather the fleet and go.

-Oh, and we are getting new ships.

Andrew said, surprising the admirals.

-Vulcan, launch them and start making more.

-As you wish.

As soon as the AIs said these words, the twenty docks that were not in use opened up, revealing twenty cruiser-class ships.

They were loosely based on the Star Wars Star Destroyers, but the changes Andrew made to the design changed them almost completely, leaving only the triangular shape of the hull to resemble the original ship.

These cruisers were hands down the most powerful ships in the Imperial fleet, with two spinal MACs that could take out a destroyer in one shot, over twenty kinetic and energy-based main weapons, and over a hundred secondary ones, not to mention the rocket launchers, torpedo tubes, point defense lasers, and 20 mm cannons.

With their dagger-like shape and bristling with weapons from stem to stern, these ships emanated power and promised a quick and violent demise of anyone dumb enough to cross them.

-You build them?

Arien asked in shock.

-But what about the invasion?

Aelita asked.

-Tanera reminded me a while ago that the invasion force can't use anything more than a destroyer, even if we use cruisers.

His words reminded them that Terelen had informed them about it before the second wave of the invasion.

Unfortunately, they all forgot about it and stuck to the same rules as with the first invasion.

-Six of them will serve as flagships, two are going to stay to protect the main system, and I'm taking the rest with me.

Andrew declared.

-How long does it take to build one of these?

Nairin asked, still in awe over the cruiser's unveiling.

-It takes ten days for this installation to build one such vessel.

Every other shipyard will take between twenty days to a month to build one.

Vulcan answered.

-As soon as you finish building the current batch of ships, I want you to switch solely to building the cruisers.

-As you wish, my lord.

Vulcan answered with a note of happiness in his synthetic voice.

For the first time since his reactivation, he could again build heavy warships instead of the lightweights he was stuck with till now, and the emperor even allowed him to redesign the ships to make them more deadly and harder to destroy, which he did.

The AI removed many things, starting with the superstructure of a Star Destroyer, which was, in his eyes, a prime target for anyone fighting with the vessel.

Thanks to this, the profile of the new cruiser was way flatter, diminishing the surface that could be targeted by over 20%.

Vulcan also used a lot of free space to add more weapons, generators, shields, and all the other equipment he wanted, since Andrew gave him a free hand to design a perfect warship for his fleet.

The only thing that was left untouched was the overall shape of the ship and the hangar bay, which Vulcan had to admit was in a convenient location at the bottom of the ship.

After introducing the new ship, Andrew didn't waste any time and contacted the owners of the two territories that his fleet had to go through to get to its target.

They were less than thrilled when they heard about Andrew's plan, but considering that he was calling them personally and asking for this favor, added with the fact that he had never before broken a treaty or a promise, for that matter, they reluctantly agreed.

It took a few hours to assemble the fleet, but soon a thousand ships with a dozen cruisers jumped out of the Lantean Empire's main system.
