(Naruto's mindscape)
"Ughh… where am I" Naruto asked as he sat up from the ground and looking around to see he was in a Field with ten different landscapes surrounding a massive tree in the center of the field. The first is a Desert with wavy dunes of sand, followed by an ash covered forest with ethereal blue flaming leaves on black trees. There is an ocean with a huge coral reef in between the ash forest and a large volcanic ecosystem with massive pillars of ash rising into the sky. A huge geyser and hotspring system with mountains separating it from from a l large wetlands with an underground cave network, and a large rainforest with a waterfall flowing from a ocean with a rocky coastline. The final area looks like a forest with a massive cave in the back with a cage at the entrance. Around the giant tree there is kihana in her fox form with all ten of her tails curled around it.
There is a large island floating around the different areas with a platform with a huge ornate door on the side of the wall on the platform. The door is a red door with gold highlights and green jewels around the door.
"Kihana are you awake" Naruto said while still being tired. He jumped up onto kihana's head and began to pet her head.
"Yes Naruto I'm awake just recovering my strength after using most of my chakra for that jutsu." Kihana said as she looked up at Naruto "huh your a lot younger then what I thought you would have been."
"What do you mean by that." Naruto said as he looked at himself only to see he has his three years old body. "Ahhhhh!, what happened to me." He screamed as a sweat drop appeared on kihana's head.
"You used the time turtle, remember!" Kihana said exasperated as she got up and began to stretch her body.
"Yeah I know, but I wasn't expecting to be in my past body!" Naruto said as he began to freak out from not having his abilities as he did before.
"Naruto you go check out what point in time we are in and I will go check out kurama's seal." Said kihana as she looked at the cage in the forest.
Naruto looked at kihana and the seal "fine I will then I'll be back to have a conversation with Kurama with you." He said while disappearing to go and explore his circumstances.
(Konoha)
Naruto woke up to the sight of his old apartment. The one he had not seen since he became the Hero of the Leaf. Getting up, he walked into the bathroom and stared at his reflection on the mirror. He was a younger version of himself staring back. After a moment, he grinned. He had done it. He had come back. Now he only needed to know when. Quickly finishing his morning ablutions, though he noticed a certain appendage was larger then normal. Naruto walked into his bedroom and stared at the calendar he kept there. Seeing the date, he panicked.
He began to panic as it was his third birthday. "WHA! What am I supposed to do at this point in time!" He said freaking out.
"Stop panicking Naruto! Just pass off your pranks as you hiding your skills and say that you learned most from seeing a few Jonin or ANBU using it once! It's a common occurrence for prodigal children though forbidden so no one will question your claim of learning through imitation." Kihana said in his head trying to calm him down.
"Thanks Kihana. You are a life saver, but what will we do with this extra time."
Now that I think about it, you can pick up a few more jutsu from the Forbidden Scroll. Why not let it play out as it did last time. You may not have the same physical condition as you had in the future but your chakra levels and control is still at the same level. Then you have your senjutsu to rely on. I am also with you partner. You are not alone like last time nor are you useless. You can play off your sudden increase in skill as playing possum until now. After all a Shinobi's greatest weapon is deception."
"That's a brilliant idea Kihana, thanks!"
"You better have breakfast and head out now!" Naruto looked at the clock and saw that he only had an hour to have breakfast and then get to the library. Nodding his head, he quickly prepared a cup ramen and had it for breakfast. He took a quick shower and then walked out wearing a small towel around his waist. Opening his wardrobe, he grabbed his green undershirt and white shirt with the Uzumaki swirl on the back, with the will of fire symbol on the front. Then his teal shorts with a blue strip on each side, and his dark blue shoes out of his drawers.
After leaving his apartment in the rundown building within the red light district of konaha naruto tested out if he could still walk on walls. To his surprise he found he could, he ran up to the roof instead of using the metal stairs. On the roof he found his little garden of fruits and vegetables many of which he used in his ramen.
Naruto looked to the hokage's office ready to begin the new day only for him to stop and admire the view. The first thing Naruto could see is the massive trees surrounding the hidden leaf village and the four heads of the hokage monument on the mountain. The way the trees on top of the mountain were waving in the wind while the Sakura peddles blew in the wind as they were carried across the village in a beautiful display.
"I'm back" Naruto said to himself as he watched the bustling villagers moving in the streets of the village. Naruto began to drop down apon the streets to look for things to change about the future, though could think of one thing to begin with. Naruto began to run towards the place he could start changing things, the haruno residents, so he could help Sakura become stronger once she begins to train.
Naruto watched Sakura play at the park with ino but didn't join anyone because he didn't want to cause there parents to end there fun, so he hid in trees and on top of buildings as he watched his friends from another life live there life without worry he smiled knowing that he was on the right path. "Momma can we go get some onigiri after shopping?" Said a voice catching Naruto's ear. Following the voice he found a young sauske walking with a woman that looked like a female sauske and a young Itachi.
The woman looked down at sauske and pat his head with her left hand and said "How about you and Itachi go get the ingredients while I finish here, afterwards we can meet back at home and we can eat it together." sauske hugged her leg and began to drag Itachi with him to get the ingredients for his favorite food. Naruto hadn't realized it while smiling at the family but Itachi was looking at him, and Mikoto noticed which she looked looked in his direction causing Naruto to runaway from the attention as he attempted to act like he had when he was originally three.
Naruto had sensed Sakura's chakra signature so he could track when she would begin training. Now he needed to gain a trail or everyone will find it weird he can do things he shouldn't, while wandering he came across the library which would be the best place to find information on the differences that aren't obvious such as people having phones when naruto remembered that there should only be radios.
Having to sneak into the library because of the hate for Kurama that the villages hold, the librarian is an old woman with grey hair and resemble a raisin with how old she was. The library holds public records of things from around the elemental nations such as world maps of countries and history from the perspective of said countries.
What he was looking for was world maps and history books but he didn't know why but the world map was different entirely, such as there being seven continents and there being the shinobi world along side a complete different set of countries. The new countries are the public countries and the shinobi countries are hidden from the world only interacting with supernatural forces. Naruto found that the world truly was different so he had to learn as much about this world as possible.
The natural world doesn't know of the shinobi world or the supernatural world so they have different borders and countries and it was strange, with the placement of the shinobi countries the same as it was in his past timeline. Naruto stayed in the library learning about the natural and supernatural histories and it seamed the shinobi world played a large part in both histories, the first thing that popped out at Naruto was the deal made by the first hokage with a god named shiva for land to build konaha.
There are some interesting things Naruto was beginning to realize and that is the people are more perverse, and that there were more things in this world then he really thought. Some of the things that Naruto found was the same is that there were three shinobi wars, and that the Uzumaki clan was scattered throughout the world after the attack from four of the villages. "I wonder if the changes to the world is the response to my abilities and the destruction of the world meaning the timeline was fractured." Naruto mumbled to himself while reading text books and historical records.
"What was that young man?" A voice said from behind him. He looked around and saw an Indian woman in white pushing a cart of books.
"Huh oh nothing ma'am just talking to myself." Naruto says looking at the woman from within the heng he has to blend into the library, because the librarian doesn't want him in the library.
"Oh well you should try and keep your thoughts to yourself young man, you never know who could be listening." The Indian woman said while looking at books on the cart and putting a thick book down in front of Naruto.
Naruto looked at the book and saw that the cover showed symbols he couldn't recognize and the name on it says 'The supernatural world explained: A detailed study of the occult by Chiron' when Naruto looked at the woman again she disappeared leaving her cart. He looked around and couldn't find her as if she wasn't there to begin with, he found it concerning that a random woman was able to disappear without him noticing.
Unnerved by the incounter naruto took the book and left the library for the day and went home to read the book where he knows there isn't any strange disappearing women. Naruto saw thing on his way to his apartment that was weird like white masked shinobi that seemed to hide from the anbu and a dog anbu that followed him everywhere.
After getting home he got ready for bed and had the book with him to read while he layed in bed, the first few pages were about the book and the table of contents which shows thousands of chapters on a page that scrolls? The first chapter is 'introduction to magic' which confused naruto because he doesn't know what magic is.

In the forest outside the caged cave kihana sits infront of it in her beast form watching Kurama glare at her with malice. The cage is red with double doors and a seal in the center. "Hello Kurama." Kihana said with a voice that was filled with mirth.
Kurama's glare hardened as she said the name so few ever knew. "How do you know that name!?" He said as his voice deepened and his snarl grew with his anger as his rage grew stronger because someone he didn't know knew his name.
Kihana smiled at Kurama staring down at her as he got up and continued to growl like a beast instead of an intelligent being. "I know your name because you are apart of me as I am apart of you." She said softly as Kurama said nothing but began to study the pale woman infront of him.
As Kurama studied her he saw a multitude of tails flowing behind her and he wished he miscounted but there they were, her eyes they are red like blood with rings like kurama's father and nine tomoe meaning they are the rinne-sharingan. Kurama hated the implication of the monster standing in front of the cage because this is the monster Kurama's father told them all about when they were still together in there father. "How do you exist if you dont have my chakra, what have you done to my siblings." Kurama said with wary voice knowing that the ten tails can only exist if all the tailed beasts are obsorbed into the ghetto Mazo statue that Kurama's uncle went to protect on the moon.
Kihana seemed amused by the fact that Kurama cared for his fellow biju. "Nothing at all was done to your siblings Kurama, I can assure you of that. Honestly I don't even have the ghetto mazo as my body I'm just chakra like you." She said with a caring and gentle tone in her voice while her eyes watched Kurama.
Kurama seemed to get irritated from the confusing statement. "Then how do you exist if you don't have the statue or my chakra to sustain your existence, why don't you free me or consume me!" Kurama yelled out at kihana while beating on the cage wanting free even if everything about the biju is eradicated, just being out of the cage seal would be worth death.
She looked at Kurama with sympathy "I'm not going to consume you nor am I going to set you free." She held out her hand and the red flaming chakra floating above the forest in front of the cave flowed to her hand.
Kurama looked at the chakra and found it is a piece of itself, this caused the question of how chakra of the kyubi was not within Kurama. "How do you have that!" He yelled in rage as he stared at the women juubi trying to understand how.
She looked from the chakra to Kurama. "The answer is within this chakra fragment." She said as she began to push the chakra through the sealed gate and let it enter Kurama. She knew what would happen so she was happy to help Naruto get a friend back.
Kurama began to thrash around as the chakra began to burst and fill in memories of a future he would never live and never forget. Kurama went limp and fell down."Wha…" Kurama began groggily getting up before shooting u. "Naruto!" Kurama screamed with worry and fear slamming against the seal trying to get out with manic desperation.
Kihana grew to her fox form. "It's ok Kurama he's alright, you nine gave me the mission to protect him and so I did." She said trying to calm down Kurama though it was odd that the chakra given to Kurama was now floating on the ground in the cage. "It's going to be ok, your here now, you don't need to worry yourself about Naruto." Kihana was soothing Kurama from on the other side of the cage.
Kurama looked around at the landscape to see multiple biomes. "Where is he, what is this place." Kurama asked in confusion while calming down and taking deep breaths.
Kihana smiled lightly "He is here, you are safe in your seal every thing around is his mindscape." She said with joy in her voice of seeing the friend Naruto lost worry for him even if they didn't know each other for very long. When she was talking she didn't realize that Naruto appeared behind her.
"Kihana what happened," Naruto asked as he looked around at the area and saw small chakra foxes running around with tails ranging from one to eight. He saw Kurama worked up and he looked frantic now with kihana talking in a soothing voice to Kurama. "why did Kurama's chakra shutter." He asked and there heads turned to him.
"N-Naruto?" He started talking as if in shock and fear. "Your alive?!" He screamed in joy and shock. "You and the uchiha brat beat kaguya!!" He said in awe at the fact Naruto did it. "Wait why are you so small!!!" He screamed out loud at the child Naruto.
Naruto's eyes grew wide. "Wait… Kurama you remember everything, how." He asked with a low voice as the shock of Kurama remembered him dispite him not having any reason to. He looked at kihana. "I thought he wouldn't remember anything."
Kihana looked at Kurama calming down and back to Naruto. "He didn't at first but I put the memories of his." she pointed at Kurama. "That I had already separated to let grow into him in the past timeline, back into him which allowed him to remember everything up until he joined with the others to make me." She explained to Naruto as he walked up to the cage and put his fury through the cage and Kurama bumped his fist with his and they smiled at each other with big toothie grins.
Naruto looked at the seal and found he couldn't take it off because he doesn't have the key and he had to get it from ero-senin just like before. While Naruto was thinking about how he was going to get it off he thought about Jiraiya making him cry because he could see him again.
After he decided to wait and study his fathers sealing work because his father had a unique sealing style that mixed the basic arts and uzumaki sealing arts, he began to tell Kurama about the things he and kihana did up until now and why they are in the past. He even told Kurama about the otsutsuki and how they affected this world and how he sealed the shinju into a seal that uses shinjutsu to hold them in place and that he plans to reform them into allies instead of monsters in otsutsuki shape.
Naruto looked at Kurama as kihana was teaching him how to create a secondary form like hers. "Hey! Kurama I am going to ask the other bijuu, but I want your opinion on about the idea of trying to get through to kaguya instead of sealing her again and her being crushed by the seal." Naruto watched as they look in his direction with a arched eyebrow.
Kihana was the first to answer " Well I don't think that is possible even if she wanted to join us as an ally, but if anyone could, it would be you naruto." Said kihana as she was trying to teach Kurama to create a human form.
Kurama looked at him and spoke "Listen kit I trust you like I trust my father, but if it becomes trust between the two of you I will trust him over you." Said kurama in his deep growling voice while straining to compress his form.
Naruto understood Kurama so he began to think about ways to better the future and stop the fourth great ninja war from happening but decided that he would further his senjutsu first. With that he left his mind and left the book on his bed and ran to the forest of death where he would train in taijutsu and senjutsu until he could change something.
