Chapter 55 - Chapter 53: Refugees.

Date: Þórri 17th, 598 AD. (Alt: 29th January, 599 AD.) Location: Götaland (Ancient Sweden.)

Heath has been busy studying throughout the night, with the advent of thousands of additional sapient lives under his belt, he has further grown in strength.

He has also created yet another few forms of farms next to the cellular agriculturally grown meat, it is a micro biopolymeric synthesis in one tank, and a biosynthetic milk producer in the other![1]

Through the creation of 2 tanks of the same size, he had edited specific strains of bacteria to create a long-lasting, yet biodegradable polyhydroxyalkanoate plastic that can last for a few years without magic maintenance. And the milk could be edited to have any taste, if it was regular or skimmed, and whether it is lactic or non-allergenic, depending on protein and chain production settings. All 3 of these were side by side, tilable in design, they are producing enough to feed the entire population's needs, with the farms also in full swing.

These will be introduced after a few more rounds of tests in case there are any health side effects, which Heath does not believe they do but they must still be rigorous, and many times during this process, others had come up to talk to him.

"-so what you are saying is there may be even more of these farms?" Gorm asks, captured by the forward-thinking possibilities in environments where animals could not be husbandried and maintained. "Yes, and they are more efficient than having multiple animals of its same weight, with the waste products being easily exported out of the machines to be reused for other purposes." Heath went fully scientific while keeping it simple in explanation. "What do you do with the rubbish, then?" Gorm sees the waste pipe leading through a portal.

"Why, I put it through a burner to be turned into ash, which the now incinerated biogases are then used for extra power generation from the heat and air release, and the rest is mixed into fertiliser for the farm plants' health. Quite intuitive, 'ain't it?'" He responds the last bit in English.

"*Ha ha*Yes, very." The Clan Leader suddenly gains a contemplative expression. "These bioplastics, where will you plan to use them?" He thinks of possible areas, such as clothing and 'wheels' in how Heath had talked about cars from his home realm. "The same areas you thought of just now, magic may not always be available in areas as talked about many times, and these will help with more natural QOL features." He quintuple stacks the meat, milk and biopolymer farms into a tower and merged, now a >≈ 1,200% increase in production.

"There will be so much wastage of food with you doing that." Gorm comments from behind, knowing even if others ate multiple times more than they already do, there would still be some left to rot. "Do not worry, I have an idea for that." Heath sounds like a mad scientist again.

"What are you -doing- now?" The Clan Leader stares towards the tall God with a complex expression, seeing of his now mad countenance. "Thank you for asking. I will be turning the Autos, Bus and Drone golems to flesh and blood!" Heath earned a punch to his chest for that. "HOW WILL YOU DEAL WITH THE PANTHEONS' MEDDLING?!" From the many teachings of Heath, he recognises the powers of a few select fate-bounding Nornir who will see this as a slight, sure, a few thousand may be fine, but MILLIONS of new immortal bodies? Heath will be seen as taking the piss.

"I am planning to meet with the sisters to have a deal. They are neutral, and I know they are hearing me speak now, which is why I choose to be honest." Heath felt the pang from the direction of the Cavern's ceiling, and from this recognition, he now sees a lady.

Verðandi, the one who sees the present, soon floats down with a keen eye towards who she dubs as the Unbound one. She asks in a silent gesture while perceiving the threads, seeing the many severed fates from thousands of sapients around. "I have known since the beginning, that you have been watching." Heath chose to be honest, as knowing many of the myths surrounding them, it would be obvious that he would be spotted, even with Brijga's protection in hand. "Then it seems we have much to talk about." She spoke, the twine of fate guiding her to that conclusion.

"Do we talk here, or within your Urðarbrunnr?" Heath watches as she guides the magic through her forefingers, lastly using a magic much like teleportation but flavoured with thin motifs that covers the vision of all nearby creatures and leaving Gorm alone, left on the island.

The Clan Leader simply shrugs, knowing this may take a while. Besides that, Heath is transported through to their hidden lands by a cosmic lake, containing two immortal swans who ignore him while swimming in circles. A sight of significance that Heath can barely understand its meaning for. He refocuses, soon finding the other sisters, Urðr and Skuld, watching him with wonder at the type of man who could ignore fate could be like. Sure, they have watched him since he arrived, but actions can always be manipulative or false.

"I greet the Nornir. May your sight be eternal and your justice pure." He greets them with respect as ancient Deities, now held upon a knee while his head is low. But just in case he may be divinely controlled like with Freyja, he keeps his guard up through visible magic, to be honest in view.

"We greet Heath Dollen of the mennskrðrútan, and may your light shine upon the world." Skuld, having a more positive outlook from seeing the fates of the beings he aids that are filled with beautiful days, gave him equal esteem. The other sisters looked to her as a peer, and understanding her response to him, chose to follow instead. "Rise, great scientist God, we have much in common." Verðandi raised her hand, making him stand at full height. The triplets were small in comparison to Heath, yet their power greatly outmatched his in unison.

"Then do you wish for pleasantries, or wish to be frank?" Heath asks, hoping not to come off as rude, but the others did not mind, for they were quite visibly honest as beings who are tied to fate. "Frank, of course." Urðr spoke for each of them, now leading to Heath to set a trade.

"You have heard of my many conversations and the many experiments I have done for these people. Of my hopes to help them achieve their potential and to allow them to live lives of comfort and progress." Heath saw the Nornir nod in sync, now continuing with his asking. "I hope that with your approval, I may allow my golems to have souls. The deer were capable of being made of flesh and blood due to their more pure nature, but mennskr and their basis are under your power." He bows, making sure to stay respectful.

"Then we have a trade in turn." Skuld states, next causing Verðandi to speak the sentence, it seems these Ásynjur turn their speech. "We wish for your care over the misbegotten travellers that have no graces within the forest, their fate was starvation, but we trust you."

From the Norse Personification of the Present's affirmation, Urðr provides their last known location, by the edge of Jǫtunheimr, a similar area as where he met Thyra. "Is it from Óðinn, or as you may know him as Wōðanaz, and his Bǫlverkir?" Heath knew these warriors were brutal and had probably ransacked their village that was near the borders, to leave nothing unturned. "And the Vanir are too wrung to host them with home and hearth." Skuld comments sadly, as while they are meant to have no allegiance, seeing the loss of life is quite painful.

"Then I will." From his true word, he earns the blessing of the Nornir. "Let myself hope I do not meet the one who nearly shot my soul." He says it all for himself, more to be kept out of embarrassment.

He travels to the border of Jǫtunheimr, keeping a short reference and using the grenade cover and his own manual cover of impairment as additional triple protection. Through slowly floating by and managing the air and magic currents through the air, he intents to be invisible to all external responses. Yet he kept on feeling as if he was being watched, he just worked through it, soon finding a smaller caravan of these people. Which, to deal with quickly, he puts them to sleep. 3 konur and 12 manne. Then warping them through to isolated rooms.

"That shall hopefully stop their fate of starvation once they are in my Cavern." He mumbles to himself, yet the feeling of being stared at intensified from his comment, not in anger, in welcome. "OKAY, WHO IS WATCHING ME?" He comments, suddenly feeling it go away.

"Damn ninja. . ." He refocuses, soon finding other groups who are done in the same way, warning Gorm and Leif throughout the process. From dawn, it was the start of the afternoon and it slowly went below the tree line. "That should be all of them, 98 mennskr.*Hagh*So much destruction." He comments in a sad tone, turning around as to look towards the few dead he had found in the same way. "*GAH!*" Heath jumped backwards, finding Thyra staring into him in incredibly close distance to him. "CAN YOU NOT?!" He shirks.

"What is a ninja?" Thyra asks, hair swaying in an unseen wind, likely a Vanir presence watching her. ". . . A warrior of the night, who uses darkness as a cover and who utilises subterfuge against their enemies through range or assassination." Heath explained.

"That does seem like me." She tilted her head slightly, understanding the comparisons. "I came to apologise, and to say thanks for giving us the warning." She stared towards him, making sure to appear non-threatening and to stay in better likeness. "You have no need to, I do understand your reasoning, it is simply my own personality." Heath shook his head, about to teleport but is grabbed and his magic was cancelled. 'Dafuq?' Heath frowned, seeing the rather strong hand grasp his wrist. "Okay, what is it?" He comments, tinging in annoyance.

"We wish for you to meet King Tiwaz himself." She compounded, showing it was not just her who wished to talk. "For a possible revision of your alliances, the First Wolves will be there as well." He finally understood. "So the Nornir are part of this?" He asks through telepathy.

"Yes." She agrees in her mind as well. "Then I will come." He is finally let go of, and follows her through her gate magic and into the throne room of the Nature Gods. They walked through royally twisted vines that give an incredible backdrop through populated catwalks and giant trunks that work as pillars that hold the entire structure aloft. They are in the sky, a tree mansion! Heath noted many of their features to replicate it back home for what he liked in view, now coming close to a leafen carpet that led to the throne.

He sees him in the bark, the more likeable God-King in comparison to Óðinn. His silence unusually positive with his liking of Heath. "I greet the Immortal King Tiwaz, may your-" He was stopped by the raise of a hand, making him awkward in whether to just bow in silence.

The Vanir áss gets up off of his chair and places his crown of bark and thorns upon a woollen pillow, stepping down to then be in front of the one whose actions have been worded and travelled through the many winds, once in front, his stare was bearing him down, yet in the same breadth, a gentle hand of bark pressed upon his shoulder, inviolating him to be more comfortable. No smile was on King Tiwaz's face, but there was no need to, his presence and aura showed it in full.

Even when he was let go, an invisible cord made Heath follow him through another hallway. Down multiple sections and partings through the unification of nature and mennskr-like construction, they came upon a doorway, with the sign containing a flower upon it.

Heath stared with absolute confusion, for that specific flower, the Daisy, meant Mother Jǫrð. King Tiwaz turned around, looking with meaning before walking off. Throughout this process, Heath had continuously scanned his surroundings, yet he never felt any fluctuations or mistakes. It was real from his perspective, but even then, he knew it could still be a trick that may require an escape. 'But why?' Heath internally scowled, choosing not to show it within his soul. He walked forward, about to knock upon the door, but it opened on its own.

Mother Jǫrð was there, with the leader of the First Wolves, chatting and having a meal. Garmr, the guardian wolf of Hel himself, was lying upon a pillow, now looking towards Heath with understanding at this meeting, nibbling his steak in peace.

"So you must be the young blood." Garmr comments with the tone of a grandfather, recognising Heath for the type of being he was with his own sight upon his character. He flies a small fairy fly drone, landing it upon his nose in a show before making it fly off. "And in your ability, you have given us a way to counter-spy the Æsir, you will have the claws of the Wolves to your howl." He smiles, his fangs inviting rather than threatening. Heath nodded, accepting the outcome and now following the logic Thyra was visualising.

"Knowing of your intelligence, we believe you may have other suggestions for the future." Mother Jǫrð raised her mug in hand, sipping a bit of her never-ending ale. "And of your care for my child." A third voice had spoken, Iðunn walked out from behind the misty cover.

"I will take that compliment, and your Rod is doing well. He adjusted to my artificial forest and is growing strongly!" Heath exclaimed from the past few days' progress, sitting down upon the pillow left over for his own use. "I heard from him, yes. You make a good father." Iðunn states in a vote of confidence, with Heath now having 4 hyper-intelligent children in his care. "It is mostly their own doing, I am usually too busy and require the aid of others for it." Heath scratched the back of his head, covering every invention addled to their society.

"You are getting better, however. Take it as you will, you are a good role model." Garmr walked over and pawed his shoulder in jest before returning to his lap seat, making Heath feel a sting from how strong it was.

"Thanks, and of your talks about technology, I do have a few things I wish to talk about with your permission in creating them." Heath started with the ones that will occur the soonest: The usage of the Uni-pod to allow others to use 'sheaths' of extra controllable bionic bodies. Through his simple explanation and his visual examples using his memories in play, they understood the capabilities and ramifications of such a technology. They discussed it between each other, hoping to find common ground.

Heath was given the clearance to create this technology, only with the caveat of them also being provided 10 Uni-pods of their own, in hopes of understanding and replicating the technology. But with their current economic suspension, it may take years before being successful.

"Now, for the next technology. See this material?" Heath takes out a chunk of *Dyḗusium for Mother Jǫrð to dabble with, her powers over the earth allowing her to scan its attributes. "This material. . ? You have given it a divine attribute with its already impossible strength." She looks up, seeing Heath as if he was an impossible riddle. "Adal described it to me, yet even I cannot believe it in front of my eyes." She gives it back freely, showing her trust in Heath as a young creator.

"There are more examples that I wish to talk about. Other materials that are of incredible significance will soon be created and classified under a material system for infrastructure and scientific developments." Heath saw Garmr become confused, ears straightened.

"Meaning?" The Wolf asked, understanding part that it means that new materials will appear, but not of their necessity. "I will be introducing 4 more materials, that I will be using in Aerospace, Building and Vehicular innovation." Heath slowed down, breathing out a sigh before starting. "The first is TaHfC, a compound of the materials Tantalum, Hafnium and Carbon. It has incredible heat-resistant properties that allow it to survive temperatures hotter than even lightning." He shows with his magic his knowledge through an example video.

Their expressions were each of true enrapturing, the main setup and technical aspects of this material's chemical structure not hidden, but shared between allies to return favours provided while being kept hidden since first arriving in this realm.

A blast forge so hot it can melt tungsten easily, yet its internal structure never giving. They felt its applicability from the video, for the smelting of metals and usage in fast vehicles that could reach new heights! "The next, is C-PICA, full name being the Conformal Phenolic Impregnated Carbon Ablator." He shows its usage upon the space shuttle, entering the atmosphere. Its usage and creep-resistance allowing it to be used in shuttle design and in other high-heat aspects.

"We see their aspects, and while your CrCoNi works in the cold better than most metals, do you have other examples?" Garmr asks, eyes trained upon him as a student would for a master, quite the opposite compared to their ages.

"Yes, the next example: 316L stainless steel, a material that can survive near absolute freezing, sure, it is less than CrCoNi in strength, but it utilises more affordable elements within its structure." Heath shows it surviving temperatures <= -196 °C (-320.8 °F.) A temperature unthinkable in most situations. "This is a bonus material before I state the final one, which also works within incredible temperature differences: It is known as Aerogel, specifically the Polyethoxydisiloxane version, for its better attributes." He shows an example.

"That transparency is cloud-like." Mother Jǫrð responds, being reminded of the sky after a long while. "Yes, that is true. And now, the last reveal: Oganesson (Og), a synthetic radioactive material I wish to magically produce for a possible future power generator."

From his showings of the reference to a Polonium-210 nuclear reactor and how it helps to power thousands of homes on its own and the nuclear reactivity and decay process, they understand most of its internal workings, they are also shown if what happens when a reactor is left to disrepair and mismanagement, or placed in a location of incredible risk. "Your usage of radioactive generation will be revolutionary for electricity, we recognise it." Garmr sees it for what it was, he knew not of power generation a day prior, but now he does.

"We accept your usage for all of these materials and more you may employ, we only hope you will not leave us behind in your bright time ahead." Iðunn nods, and with all at the table showing their support, that is even more reason to continue down his path for all life.

"And try not to enhance too many creatures, souls bear down the planet." Mother Jǫrð jokes half-seriously, yet even she would not expect cross-planetary travel.
