"Morning," Melanie smiled when she saw me fully enter the sunroom.
"Morning," I gently smiled before sitting down on the floor next to her. "I have tables, you know."
She gave me a small smile and looked at her setup. "I've always found it easier to work on the floor."
I simply nodded and watched her as she busied herself with downloading her footage. I wasn't really sure how I would bring up the topic of Dad. Even though I had made progress with expressing myself I still found it difficult to actually start the conversation.
"Are you feeling better after yesterday?" I decided that was the best step to opening up that heavy topic.
She slightly bit the corner of her bottom lip before she sighed. "I'm sorry I cried. I just wasn't expecting Dad to be that way. I don't know what I was hoping for."
"You don't need to feel bad for crying," I gently smiled, "Dad brings that out of all of us."
