Dinner was much better than I thought it would be. Everyone was warm and welcoming and we all got along relatively well. Malia even though she had gone through so much was still smiling when we came in. She had a cut on her upper lip that was starting to heal and her eyebrow.
She couldn't stand for too long therefore she stayed seated most of the time with Eli on her lap. She loved her gift and I gave her a hug in her position. She was incredible to still be in good spirits after everything.
Everyone made sure not to make any loud sounds and Edward Senior had changed the cutlery for plastic more cartoon shaped ones. Knives scared her and the sound seemed to panic her worse. Her parents were extremely pleasant and no one brought up my relationship with Edward.
