But he didn't really have time to do so, because he had to attend another kind of hunt.

Well, it was fine. Damien was still very caring and attentive towards Lane, showing absolutely no signs of thinking about leaving. Meanwhile, Lane had no other murder attempts planned, at least not in the near future. Thus, trapping Damien in a marriage could wait for a bit longer. As long as no more incidents happened until then, it should all work out somehow.
