Chapter 14 - Copy and Paste?

###

After dinner, Natsubi Raku lay on his bed, staring at the quiet night sky outside the window. A white-red meteor suddenly streaked across the beautiful night scene, becoming the most eye-catching star among the multitude.

For him at this moment, Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation was akin to a big move. After all, one mouthful of fire consumed nearly one-third of his cursed energy, with no upper limit in sight.

Moreover, the Sharingan also belonged to high-consumption techniques. If both were activated simultaneously, he would become the epitome of running out of chakra, much like Kakashi.

Ten minutes of activation left him weak for an entire day.

These two techniques should be avoided in real combat if possible, as using them lightly would be unwise.

So, what he needed to focus on now was physical training and using the Sharingan to copy others' taijutsu.

When it came to the strongest in taijutsu within Jujutsu High, it had to be Maki Zen'in. After all, kicking a curse spirit away without using cursed energy was something he couldn't do.

For the time being, his training plan was set: physical conditioning, copying Maki's taijutsu, and learning jujutsu from Gojo-sensei.

Real jujutsu was necessary to learn since the Great Fire Annihilation consumed a lot of cursed energy and might not keep up with high-intensity exorcism tasks.

After contemplating for a while, Natsubi Raku began to feel sleepy, and he gradually closed his eyes amidst his dreams of the future.

The next day.

The sound of the alarm clock echoed in his ears. The alarm clock on the bedside table continued its stable output, the best partner for punctual waking up.

Natsubi Raku slowly opened his eyes and looked at the light coming through the window.

It was currently 5:30 AM, the sun had not fully risen yet, revealing only a sliver, but this was the wake-up time he had set for himself. As the saying goes, "A day's plan starts in the morning." This was the best time to go out for a run and get the body moving.

He got up, put on the clothes by his bed and the shoes under the bed, quickly washed up, and left for the training ground to run.

However, it seemed he was not the only one up early. Maki Zen'in was already there, sweating profusely and holding a naginata. Although her strikes seemed casual, they were far from ordinary.

Each slash could stir the fallen leaves on the ground, and her firm arms had a sense of powerful beauty.

Natsubi Raku instinctively activated his Sharingan while watching from the side, wanting to imprint these moves in his mind.

Maki Zen'in noticed Natsubi Raku, but she didn't stop swinging her naginata. Instead, she smiled slightly and continued.

A silent lesson ensued between the two. Natsubi Raku carefully observed the flow of power and the shifting of weight. The Sharingan's copying ability put his mind into a kind of trance.

A huge amount of analytical data flooded into his brain, as if he were in a fantasy space meticulously observing every detail, down to the falling sweat. But clearly, such an intense test of memory could quickly lead to headaches and strong dizziness.

After watching for just over ten minutes, Natsubi Raku knelt on the ground, gasping for air, and vomited his undigested dinner from last night.

"Ugh~"

Damn, my head's about to explode. What a joke, even copying the movements leaves my brain overloaded quickly.

"Ugh~"

This is unbearable!

This Sharingan is really crappy; it's definitely not my brain that's the problem.

"What's the matter? Can't copy my moves with those eyes of yours?"

Maki Zen'in's voice came from in front of him, her tone carrying a hint of pride.

"You did it on purpose? Ugh~"

Natsubi Raku finally understood why his brain overloaded so quickly; it was her doing.

"Of course, I deliberately sped up my swings a bit."

Maki Zen'in planted her naginata into the ground, picked up a water cup beside her, and took a big gulp. She then sat on a stone bench and said, "During the jujutsu class ten days ago, I noticed something unusual about your eyes. Thinking that if you had extraordinary observational abilities, copying movements shouldn't be a problem,I decided to speed up my swings to test it out."

"Ugh~"

Natsubi Raku had vomited up all his undigested food from last night. Feeling slightly better, he wiped his mouth and slowly stood up. The cold sweat on his forehead and his irregular breathing indicated his mental state was very weak at the moment.

As expected of someone from the Zen'in family, her keen observation and calm mind surpassed many jujutsu sorcerers. But then again, anyone chosen by Gojo Satoru wouldn't be simple.

The panda created by Principal Yaga, Toge Inumaki of the Cursed Speech family, Yuta Okkotsu who was related to Gojo Satoru, and Maki Zen'in of the Zen'in family.

These backgrounds alone could make each of them a protagonist in another story, and their intelligence was unquestionable. Just a glance and she had figured out the basics of the Sharingan's ability.

Can we still play happily together in the future?

Makes me feel like an idiot.

"Not bad, my eyes do have sharp insight and copying ability, but that's not all. Actually… I'm a ninja!"

"…"

At this moment, Maki Zen'in looked at Natsubi Raku like he was an idiot, with a gaze full of care for the mentally challenged, her lips moved a few times, as if to say:

"Did you just get discharged from a mental hospital?"

"Ten thousand! I'll show you a fire breath."

As soon as Natsubi Raku finished speaking, Maki Zen'in rolled her eyes at him, then stood up, picked up her naginata planted in the ground, and resumed swinging.

"If you don't believe me, forget it."

Natsubi Raku muttered and sat on a stone bench to rest, digesting what he had just learned, as if he were in an alternate space, watching Maki Zen'in swing her naginata up close.

The difference was that everything here was under his control. He could slow down what he didn't understand, or rewind to watch it again. The terrifying aspect of the Sharingan began to manifest.

The texture of power was indistinguishable from reality, and he could even feel the gusts of cold wind with each swing.

After who knows how long, Natsubi Raku, having grown tired of watching, slowly opened his eyes and saw Maki Zen'in running on the track and her naginata planted in the ground nearby.

He wasn't sure why, but his body instinctively picked up the naginata and began to swing it, imitating Maki Zen'in's movements from his mind.

Though the initial swings were clumsy, with the fine adjustments from the Sharingan, he managed to barely keep pace, avoiding a sense of awkwardness.

No matter how much he mimicked, their physical attributes were different. For example, Maki Zen'in could do the splits, while he would end up hurting himself.

The physical gap between the two was too significant, so he had to rely on cursed energy to enhance his body.

"No way! Did he really learn it that fast?!"

Running nearby, Maki Zen'in immediately recognized the moves Natsubi Raku was now performing. Though there were slight differences, it was undoubtedly what she had just demonstrated to him.

Anyone would be a bit annoyed if their hard-earned skills were learned by someone in an instant. Maki Zen'in was no exception. She was a strong-willed person, proven by her determination to become a jujutsu sorcerer despite lacking cursed energy.

What to do when annoyed?

Of course, you pull them into a fight!
