Chapter 293 - Xin's Small Payback

"For the good of the village, could you at least stop doing things that make us look bad? What will people think of Konoha if this gets out?"

"Xin has no intention of rejoining the Uchiha. Stop deluding yourself. Or do you plan to keep hounding him until you push him right into their arms? Is that what you want?"

"That's not my intention," Third Hokage replied, his tone turning serious.

But Tsunade wasn't buying it. "If that's true, then stop using those ridiculous tactics!" she said, glaring at him.

With nowhere to vent her frustration, Tsunade punched a large hole in the office wall before storming out, still fuming.

Well, that was a mess, Third Hokage thought, his serious expression quickly turning to one of embarrassment.

What was supposed to be a discreet observation had turned into an awkward situation after getting caught red-handed.

And thanks to his... other uses of the telescope jutsu, he couldn't even muster the courage to stand his ground against Tsunade's accusations.

This was a jutsu of Third Hokage hadn't even taught Jiraiya.

So, you like to spy, huh? Xin thought with a smirk. Well, let's make sure everyone can enjoy the show. Let's see how you like it, Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Xin had made up his mind--he was going to make the telescope jutsu common knowledge.

Whatever consequences followed, that wasn't his problem. If anyone was to blame, it was the old man who couldn't keep things decent.

"Ophis, thank you," Xin said, knowing he couldn't risk being caught distributing the information himself.

That night, a small white snake darted through the streets of Konoha, expertly placing the sheets it carried in the most visible spots before returning to Xin's side, satisfied with its work.

The next morning...

"What's this?"

"A new village notice? Is it about the war?"

"Can someone read it? Tell us what it says!"
