Teil-1
"The older I get, the more I realize that age is not a barrier."
- Ruth Gordon
Yuni took a deep breath and let out a quiet sigh. He placed his hand on the door, hesitated for a second, then gently pushed it open.
Inside, the principal looked up from his desk and smiled warmly.
"Oh! Hello there, my dear. How can I help you?"
Yuni shifted awkwardly, his fingers fidgeting at his side. "I… I… I need help finding my class. I… might've forgotten which one I'm in," he admitted, his voice low and unsure.
(Yuni's hesitation wasn't without reason.
Being back in his 7-year-old body, everything felt unfamiliar, too small, too fragile. It was like being trapped in a version of himself that couldn't quite carry the weight of everything he remembered.
Or maybe… it wasn't just the body.
Maybe the trauma of the future, the pain, the loss, the things he had seen and couldn't forget, was still clinging to him, quietly dragging behind every word, every step, every breath)
The principal blinked, surprised, then softened. "Alright, my dear. What's your name?"
As he asked, a thought crossed her mind: Poor child… he must be having a hard time adjusting. Maybe he's been through something difficult.
Yuni straightened up and replied, "Yuni... Yuni Meyer."
The principal offered a kind smile. "Alright, Yuni. Have a seat while I look up your class."
I nodded and quietly sat down in the nearby chair, my legs barely reaching the floor.
He picked up his phone and dialed a number. I tried not to eavesdrop, but his voice carried just enough for me to catch bits and pieces.
"Yes, could you check the student records for me? Name: Yuni Meyer... Yes, that's right. I believe he's in the lower grade section..."
Hid voice faded into the background as my mind drifted again. I looked around the room same furniture, same faint scent of old books and coffee. Just like I remembered...
The principal's voice pulled me back to reality.
"Yuni! I have good news—I found your class. Come, I'll take you there!"
I quickly stood up and followed as she led the way.
As we walked down the hallway, she glanced at me with a gentle smile. "So, Yuni, how old are you?"
Without thinking, I opened my mouth.
"Twen—"
I froze. My heart skipped a beat. Shit!
I quickly caught myself and corrected, "...Seven."
A quiet sigh of relief escaped me. That was close... I almost made things really weird.
"Oh!, I see," the principal replied with a nod.
As we turned a corner, we spotted Miss Elish walking down the left hallway. The principal called out, "Miss Elish!"
She turned her head and, upon seeing us, walked over. "Good morning, Principal. What can I do for you?"
The principal gestured toward me. "I need you to take this young boy, Yuni, to your class."
Miss Elish's eyes landed on me, a hint of concern crossing her face. "Oh, Yuni? What's wrong? Did you forget the way to class?"
Before I could answer, the principal spoke for me. "It seems he's having a little trouble remembering."
Miss Elish gave a reassuring smile. "No worries, I'll take him."
Without hesitation, she gently took my hand. "Come on, let's go!"
As we started walking, the principal called after me, "Take care, Yuni! And if you ever need help again, don't hesitate to come see me!"
I nodded, still feeling a little awkward. Well… at least I won't be wandering around lost anymore.
