Alfonso led Abrielle through a shortcut back to the square, she was not familiar with any of the roads in the city yet she chose to trust him
The music got louder the further they walked through unconventional routes that would seem eerie on a regular night, but because it was the festival, the entire city was lit up. No one would do anything stupid close to Alfonso.
Soon, they arrived at the main road; the music and cheers were very loud, appearing from a narrow street; Alfonso and Abrielle immediately mixed with the crowd that stood at the side of the main road watching the parade.
"Wow, it's so beautiful," she heard a little girl chime; she was sitting on an older man's shoulder, which Abrielle guessed was her father from their uncanny resemblance. The girl was excited, pointing out different performances; one made the girl squeal out in excitement.
