Chapter 322: Bo Saixi & The Sea God
The battle had gone on for over ten minutes. Although Bo Saixi was being slightly overwhelmed, her vast experience and agility kept her resilient. A blue light began to radiate from her, covering the entire area. Within the light, it seemed as if waves of seawater surged and crashed, pulsating with formidable power. The energy of these waves channeled through the blue light and returned into Bo Saixi's body.
This was Bo Saixi's Sea God Domain, a powerful field—especially within the ocean, and even more so here on Sea God Island.
Yang Potian felt as if he were trapped in a boundless sea. The seawater seemed to exert a siphoning pressure, suppressing ordinary martial spirits.
Observing this, Yang Potian nodded slightly. "As expected of a god-level domain; it's not weaker than Qian Renxue's Angel Domain. And here on Sea God Island, Bo Saixi can draw upon the power of the sea and the Sea God himself, allowing her spirit energy to replenish quickly."
In just a short span, Bo Saixi had nearly recovered and now exuded an even fiercer killing intent.
Yang Potian let out a low snort as a red light flared up around him, dividing the sky into opposing red and blue forces.
This was Yang Potian's Asura Domain. The moment he released it, it began to press against Bo Saixi's Sea God Domain. The two fields clashed, but red quickly gained the upper hand, suppressing the Sea God Domain.
Bo Saixi's face showed genuine surprise; this was the first time her Sea God Domain had been overpowered.
Yang Potian, however, felt a certain wariness toward Bo Saixi. Ordinarily, she shouldn't possess a spirit core, so even with her domain, her spirit power shouldn't replenish this fast. Was it possible that the Sea God himself was aiding her?
Despite his dual spirit cores, which granted him rapid spirit power recovery and resilience, he was beginning to suspect that if Bo Saixi could draw directly from the sea, she could continuously restore her power without end.
The battle pressed on for an hour, with both unleashing a steady barrage of spirit abilities, neither able to gain a decisive advantage.
Yang Potian found himself puzzled. Bo Saixi, despite being a Limit Douluo, was at most a half-god. His strength should surpass hers by a wide margin; how could she still be holding him off?
In particular, Bo Saixi's rate of recovery felt unnatural. She seemed more like a god than a soul master.
Yang Potian couldn't help but glance toward the distant Sea God Temple. This challenge and the divine trial both seemed shrouded in mystery.
With this thought, he spoke up, "Senior Bo Saixi, how do you think my strength compares to Senior Tang Chen's?"
Bo Saixi replied without any visible emotion. "Your strength is indeed impressive, even greater than Tang Chen's back in his prime. But there is still a considerable gap between us."
Yang Potian's thoughts raced. There's something off with Bo Saixi… Could the Sea God be influencing her?
As the battle continued, Yang Potian noticed further strange details. Bo Saixi wielded her staff in a manner reminiscent of the Sea God's Trident techniques, displaying a far greater mastery over divine energy than expected.
Realizing this, Yang Potian knew that if he didn't go all out, he wouldn't be able to defeat the Bo Saixi standing before him.
With a determined look, Yang Potian's body turned a brilliant gold, eight blood-red spirit rings appearing around him.
After unleashing his full martial spirit, his speed, strength, and mental power surged, making his spear strikes more ferocious. Yet even then, he could only gain a slight advantage—still unable to defeat Bo Saixi.
A ruthless glint flashed in Yang Potian's eyes. If the gods want to play, let's raise the stakes.
He activated his spirit's seventh skill, Martial Spirit True Body. His golden form transformed into a blood-red figure, and his spirit rings exploded, shattering all but the last ring on his Soul-Breaking Spear. This surge of power poured into that final spirit ring, causing the spear to grow massively.
As the last ring on the spear gleamed, it turned completely blood-red, infused with a deadly energy. This was Yang Potian's ninth spirit skill: Shooting the Sun. Enhanced by his ring sacrifice, it became his ultimate, all-or-nothing attack.
The colossal Soul-Breaking Spear shot toward Bo Saixi, brimming with elemental energies—gold, wood, fire, earth, darkness, spirit, destruction, and time-space force. The spear cleaved through the air, ripping the fabric of space itself.
Bo Saixi's face turned grave. She hadn't anticipated such a fearsome attack from Yang Potian; its power rivaled that of a divine technique.
Her first eight spirit rings melted away, pouring their energy into her ninth ring. She activated her ninth skill: Sea God's Descent. The Sea God's image behind her expanded a hundredfold, looming like a colossal deity as if the Sea God himself had manifested.
The Sea God's image raised his trident, absorbing the endless power of the ocean, transforming it into a radiant sun-like aura—the Sea God's ultimate technique, Sea's Sun, part of the legendary Golden Thirteen Halberds.
Yet Yang Potian's spear, unyielding, surged straight toward the radiant sun in the sky, embodying all of Yang Potian's pride and defiance.
When the spear collided with the sun, the entire world trembled, as if it let out a mournful wail.
In the aftermath, everything nearby disintegrated into nothingness. Fortunately, they were far from Sea God Island; otherwise, it would have been utterly destroyed.
After the impact, a gaping wound appeared on Bo Saixi's left shoulder. Her face had turned pale, and blood streamed from her mouth and nose.
Yang Potian, though slightly better off, had blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. He had activated his soul bone armor beforehand, surrounding himself in a protective shell. The blood was a result of energy depletion and internal injuries.
Retracting his soul bone armor but keeping his golden wings, Yang Potian smiled. "Senior Bo Saixi—or should I say, Senior Sea God—would you say that counts as my victory?"
Before Bo Saixi could respond, a soft voice resonated through the space around them. "Congratulations. You have won."
