Seeing how Aden adapted to the laws and crushing pressure of Planet Cyrus in merely ten seconds, many more disciples felt their courage rise. Several of them stepped forward instinctively, only to halt at the very edge of the star shuttle.
They stared down at the scorched ground below, watching the lingering traces of flame law ripple across the surface of the planet. Despite their renewed determination, not a single one of them dared to take that final step. Fear and hesitation still held them firmly in place.
Just then, another figure walked past the crowd. She moved with calm steps, her long black hair flowing gently behind her.
"It is Jane."
"The second ranked outer disciple."
"She is stepping out now."
A low buzz of voices spread through the crowd as everyone's attention shifted toward her.
"How long do you think she will take to adapt?"
"I do not know, but it should be longer than Aden."
"She is strong, but Aden is still ranked first."
