"Byron, you look ill. Sit down, would you?" Cass asked without looking up from his papers. Byron had been in the office for all of five minutes and he looked like he was going to pass out. The dragon, who normally never drew attention to himself, looked like he was constipated. He was sweating profusely, his limbs were jerking, and his eyes were almost white-looking. For a man who had fully black eyes, that wasn't normal.
Byron jerked. He'd been looming over Sam like a shadow when Cass spoke and when he raised his head to look at Cass, he looked more like a demon than Cass did. That was saying something considering he was confined to his rooms for that very reason.
Sam even looked over at Cass, looking guilty for some reason.
