Chapter 46
Dowager Amelia and Antara burst into the room, their faces etched with worry and fear. The sight before them sent chills down their spines—Tanin, lifeless and pale, lying on the bathroom floor with damp hair clinging to her face. Amelia pressed a trembling hand to her chest, while Antara knelt beside Lyra, who was frantically trying to wake Tanin up.
"Lyra, what happened?" Amelia's voice was shaky, but she held herself together.
"I—I don't know," Lyra stammered, tears threatening to fall. "She was in the bathroom for too long. I knocked, but she didn't answer, so I came in and found her like this."
Amelia quickly turned to the maids standing frozen at the doorway. "Call the guards immediately! We need to get her to the Pack hospital."
One of the maids nodded and sprinted down the hall. Within moments, a tall guard rushed in and gently scooped Tanin into his arms. Amelia's eyes softened with gratitude, but her worry remained.
