Chapter 177 - Chapter 177

"Quick, get out of the way!" Cheng Mo grabbed the little cub from the ground, wrapped one arm around Si Lu's waist, and ran off into the distance!

Bai Di reacted quickly and bolted after them.

Seafood was actually raining down from the sky—each piece was huge! If any of them got hit, it would definitely hurt. While they were pretty strong, Si Lu wasn't...

The little female was already delicate, with tender skin and not much power to begin with. She wasn't like them—thick-skinned and sturdy male beastmen. If one of those things fell on her, it might as well take half her life with it!

So the two of them were in a complete panic. Thankfully, Cheng Mo reacted fast, grabbed Si Lu and the little one, and ran them to safety...

Luckily, it was only a small area being rained on. The range wasn't very big, so it wasn't too dangerous. They stopped about a hundred meters away and watched in astonishment as all kinds of fish and sea creatures fell with loud thuds from the sky.

Si Lu never imagined she'd live to see the day seafood actually rained from the sky. And it was only falling in one small area! Thankfully they reacted fast, or else those things would've hit them hard—she'd probably have gotten knocked out and buried alive by seafood!

She really had to thank her mate for being there, or else...

But seriously—why was seafood suddenly falling from the sky??

There was no wind or rain. How the hell did seafood get swept into the sky and fall back down? Si Lu couldn't figure it out, and neither could Bai Di or Cheng Mo.

The sky was perfectly clear—there wasn't the slightest sign of a storm or rain. So how did those fish end up in the air before falling down like that? Something about this just wasn't right, but they had no clue what the cause was.

"This is terrifying! How could seafood just suddenly fall from the sky? Isn't that stuff supposed to live in the ocean?"

"I was just thinking, maybe a waterspout or tornado sucked them up from the sea and flung them into the air. But there's no tornado now," Si Lu said, her brows furrowed in confusion after she'd calmed down.

Cheng Mo frowned too.

He hadn't seen any tornado either…

He had no idea why something so bizarre would suddenly happen. It was honestly too strange for words.

Maybe this was normal near the sea?

If this had happened before, maybe they could write it off as nothing special. But this was their first time by the ocean, and they hadn't heard of anything like seafood rain before.

"I really don't know what's going on," Bai Di said, now standing beside Si Lu and Cheng Mo, staring wide-eyed at the still-pouring seafood rain not far off.

Right? They were just out collecting seafood—and now it was falling from the sky! Of course, for them this wasn't all bad. Now they didn't have to dig around to find anything—they could just go pick it up.

But it was a good thing they moved fast. Otherwise, getting pelted by all that seafood would've been unbearable. They might've gotten buried!

Bai Di also thought the whole thing was bizarre.

"No clue," Si Lu replied. "We just got here and don't know much about the coast. But hey—at least now we have seafood to eat!" She said with a bright smile,"

Her eyes sparkled as she looked at the seafood scattered across the ground. There were still a few pieces falling from the sky, but much less than before. At this rate, it would probably stop within a few minutes.

And sure enough, after two minutes, the seafood stopped falling. Just to be safe, they waited a bit longer.

Once they felt it was safe, they finally walked toward the area. There was no one else at the beach—just the three of them. And of course, the little one.

The little one poked his head out from Cheng Mo's arms, staring at the seafood on the ground, practically drooling, his bright eyes full of excitement. Si Lu looked the same way—eyes sparkling, a smile on her face, lips curled up in joy.

It was obvious how happy she was.

Of course! Si Lu was already dreaming about a seafood feast. She couldn't stop smiling, her heart racing with excitement. She had never experienced anything like this before—so she felt both thrilled and incredibly curious.

If seafood rained from the sky now and then, wouldn't that be amazing? Every few days, she'd get to enjoy a fresh wild seafood feast. She really loved eating this kind of pure wild seafood!

"Alright, let's hurry up and collect it. I'll sneak some into my space," Si Lu whispered to the other two.

Of course! With so much seafood, she could stash some away in her space.

Thankfully, she still had some spare beast hides inside. She could wrap the seafood in those and bring them back. After all, she couldn't put everything into the space. She had to leave some out in the open—otherwise, how would they explain suddenly eating a huge seafood feast out of nowhere? Anyone would get suspicious.

"Okay," Cheng Mo nodded.

Both of them agreed.

"Let's go!" Si Lu shouted excitedly and ran toward the pile, with Cheng Mo and Bai Di flanking her protectively.

None of them noticed the figure standing atop the rocky cliffs not far away, watching the scene unfold.

It was all his doing.

He had seen how much the little female liked seafood, so naturally, he figured she'd love eating it too. That's why he had arranged for all of this.

He didn't dare overdo it—too much, and she might overeat. But this amount was already plenty, more than enough. And he had carefully selected only the biggest and freshest ones.

Seeing her laughing so brightly, her joy radiating from within—he couldn't help but feel happy too.

He never thought a bit of seafood would make the little female so giddy. What a simple, easily satisfied little female!

Watching her running around the beach collecting seafood, he thought she was absolutely adorable.

He'd always been a loner, never having had much contact with females. Sure, some had tried to flirt with him, but he wasn't interested.

Those females were not only ugly but also acted like they were mentally unwell. Only a fool would be into them!

But this little female—she was different. She was dazzling, beautiful, and interesting. She had so many good qualities.

Just her smile made his heart feel warm and full of joy.

Looking at that brilliant smile of hers, he felt completely content.
