Sam appeared in the [Soul Valley] once more, and unlike the very first time he had arrived here, nothing lunged at him or tried to tear him apart the instant he materialized.
The land was eerily calm.
Most of the monsters that once roamed this place had already been wiped out less than a day ago by Vyxen's arrow, which meant that whatever creatures remained were either hiding in fear or simply no longer existed at all.
Either way, the silence was noticeable.
Sam slowly looked around, taking in the valley and its vast emptiness.
Primordial Wings!
His wings burst free from his back, unfolding in a wide span of dark, radiant energy as he flapped them powerfully and lifted himself into the air.
The ground fell away beneath him as he rose higher, his gaze shifting outward to scan the horizon.
"Damn," Sam muttered under his breath as his eyes locked onto what surrounded him.
