Algernon woke slowly, the weight of a warm body on his chest a familiar comfort. He lay still, listening to the soft, rhythmic purr of Kuroka, her black hair a silken curtain over his arm.

Just as he was about to drift back to sleep, a sound, cold and synthesized, cut through the silence. It wasn't the sound of magic or the hum of a demonic aura. It was a clear, digital chime, a sound that was a part of him. His eyes shot open. The system was active.

A translucent screen, shimmering with an ethereal blue light, materialized before his eyes. It was a digital interface. He stared at it, his mind reeling.

A voice, synthesized and emotionless, echoed in his mind.

[Harem List Updated]

Another new tab appeared in his mind.

[Rias Gremory ~ Ultimate Class]

[Kuroka Azeroth ~ Satan Class]

Algernon's eyes widened when he saw power level of Rias and Kuroka, only then did he notice the flow of power of kuroka sleeping beside him and a subtle shift in her aura. He remembered the system's ability to improve talent and training. He had not expected it to be so powerful.

[Reward: Essence of SPACE]

[Additional Reward Unlocked]

[Reward: Training Space Access]

[Rewards Added to Inventory]

He stared at the translucent screen, his mind processing the new rewards. The Essence of Space and the Training Space Access. He looked at the sleeping Kuroka, then back at the screen. He had questions.

"System," he commanded, his voice a low, steady rumble. "Explain the Essence of Space and the reason for the additional reward."

The synthesized, emotionless voice of the system once again echoed in his mind.

[Essence of Space: This Essence allows the user to comprehend the fundamental laws of space, a necessary prerequisite to reaching Tier 3 (A/N: refer to Auxiliary Chapter). By consuming this essence, the user can increase their comprehension of the law of space.]

[Additional Reward: The user has accomplished a major feat by annihilating a pure-blood clan. This action is not directly related to the main quest but has a significant impact on the world. The system has rewarded the user for this action.]

The soft, rhythmic purr of Kuroka's breathing was the only sound in the room. Algernon knew she wouldn't be waking up anytime soon after consuming all her energy💕 last night. He gently removed his arm from beneath her, careful not to disturb her, and rose from the bed.

He moved with a quiet, efficient grace. He took a quick, cold shower, the frigid water a refreshing contrast to the warmth of his bed. He dressed in a set of simple, elegant black robes, the crimson accents. He then stood before a mirror, a small, subtle smirk on his face.

Algernon sat on his throne reading the morning reports. his thoughts have been accurate Demon Kings are busy preparing for war, resulting in delayed investigation about Naberius clan. Then, his mind was consumed by his new rewards. The Essence of Space and the Training Space Access.

He ran a hand over the polished obsidian armrest, his mind a whirlwind of cold, calculated logic. The Essence of Space was a one-time use item, a direct key to unlocking a new power. He couldn't afford to waste it. Its effects would be maximized if he used it in a place where his progress would be amplified.

He would use the Training Space as a crucible to consume the Essence of Space. In that short, amplified period, he would gain a deeper, more profound understanding of the fundamental laws of the universe. This would be his path to Tier 3.

With a single, final thought, Algernon stood up from his throne. "System," he commanded, his voice a low, commanding rumble. "Activate the Training Space."

A voice, synthesized and emotionless, echoed in his mind.

[Training Space Access - One Use Available. Proceed?]

He gave a final look at his throne, a subtle smirk on his face.

"Proceed."

The words were barely out of his mouth before a magic circle, intricate and swirling with crimson and black energies, materialized beneath his feet. The air around him grew heavy, and for a moment, he felt the disorienting pull of spatial displacement. Then, with a soft thud that barely registered, the throne room vanished.

The air that greeted him was cold and still, an unnatural kind of stillness that pressed in on him from all sides. The magic circle beneath him dissipated, and the new surroundings slowly resolved into focus. He was in a void. A blank, sterile space where time and reality had no meaning. The floor was a smooth, polished obsidian, and the walls were a solid, featureless black that stretched into an infinite, silent abyss.

It was different from the place he was in, when he used training space last time.

There was no light, no sound, no air. The place was a void, a sterile, empty place where a person could go mad from the sheer lack of stimulation. But Algernon was not here to be entertained. He was here to train.

He took a moment to simply exist, to let the silence and the monotony wash over him. He felt the immense, unyielding power of the space, a place where he could train for a millennia and a second would not pass.

He reached into his inventory and pulled out a small, elegantly crafted vial. Inside, a liquid shimmered with a soft, ethereal silver light. It was the Essence of Space.

He held the vial in his hand, a small, unassuming thing that contained a universe of power. He uncorked it, and the scent of ozone and the cold, vastness of space filled the air. He closed his eyes and began to drink.

The liquid was cold and smooth, but as it went down, a profound, chilling sensation of power filled his veins. He felt a cosmic force, an ancient power, that was so immense it could tear apart the very fabric of reality. He felt the cold, vastness of space, the silence of the stars, the power of a universe in his hands. He felt his mind, his body, and his spirit expanding, a feeling of pure, unadulterated power that was so immense it could destroy him.

But Algernon did not break. He embraced the pain, the power, and the terrifying coldness of the universe.

As he consumed the essence, he felt a profound change within his body. Mana, a pure, formless energy, began to gather near his cores. His original colorless core, a testament to his raw magical power, and his crimson-black destruction core, gained after completing the quest, began to glow.

The mana, drawn to the power, began to materialize into a third core. It was a beautiful, ethereal silver, shimmering with the light of a thousand stars. It grew rapidly, a new, powerful star in his internal universe. It grew to the same size as the other two, and then, with a single, powerful pulse, it began to surpass them, a new, dominant power in his body.

The growth of the silver core was a catalyst. The two other cores, his original and his destruction core, began to grow with it, feeding on the excess mana. They grew and grew, a symbiotic relationship that pushed them all to their limits.

They reached the maximum size they could grow, and then, with a final, powerful pulse, their mana began to flow into his body, a powerful, uncontrollable torrent.

The power was so immense it could tear his body apart. His aura, a mixture of his power, his ambition, and his will, began to overflow, a beautiful, terrifying storm of energy that filled the void around him. He had reached the level of a Super Devil.

Soon, a profound, overwhelming silence descended upon the void. Algernon sat motionless, his body floating in the void. The transformation to a Super Devil was complete. His aura, once a beautiful, terrifying storm, had now receded, contained within his body.

He turned his attention inward, to the heart of his new power. His two original cores—the colorless sphere of his raw magical potential and the crimson-black sphere of his destructive will—pulsed with a quiet, immense power. But they were not the focus of his observation. He shifted his gaze to a third, new core, a sphere of pure, ethereal silver that was surrounded with a cosmic energy he had never felt before. This was the essence of the Essence of Space he had consumed.

As he watched, a strange, beautiful process began. The smooth, silver surface of the core began to ripple and shift, and strange symbols, runes, and geometric shapes began to form on its surface. They were not just visual elements.

They were the very manifestation of the laws of space, the fundamental truths of the universe, and with the help of essence of space, he could understand them with a speed that was beyond human comprehension.

He sat there, in the quiet solitude of the void, and began his study. He spent what felt like an eternity, watching the symbols form, shift, and combine, a silent, beautiful dance of cosmic power.

Days, weeks, and months passed in the blink of an eye. The void remained unchanged, a perfect, sterile laboratory for his new powers. He did not eat, sleep, or drink. He was completely absorbed in his study, his mind a sponge, soaking up the knowledge of the law.

With a final, triumphant pulse, the symbols on his core stopped forming. They were loosely spread across his space core unable to proceed further as he had absorbed all the knowledge the essence had to offer.

The system's voice suddenly sounded in his mind

["For reaching the peak of Tier 2, you have earned the title Master of Space. This title will amplify your Space related abilities in battle and make understanding of space law easier."]

["Your Title Harbinger of Destruction has gained the ability to make comprehension of destruction law easier]

He opened his eyes, the void and energies around him made him refreshed he could now perceive every fabric of space with a thought. "System," he commanded, his voice a low, confident rumble. "Status."

Algernon looked at his status lost in thought, he had ascended to Tier 2 Peak. The most crucial detail, however, was his Space Law comprehension at 0.1%. Laws are need to reach Tier 3 and their comprehension begins at Peak of tier 2. Yet, he had comprehended it before even fully reaching that tier, and it was this very act that had propelled him to his current status.

His new cores hummed with immense energy. The path to true cosmic power was now laid bare before him. He needed to comprehend the Law of Space to 1% to reach the power levels of the Heavenly Dragons and 5% to stand as an equal to the likes of Great Red and Ophis.

"System, conclude the training session"

Now, this empty space can't help him increase his strength unless he got a source of law like essence of space to help him.

A cold, digital chime echoed in Algernon's mind.

["Training Session Concluded. Returning user to point of origin."]

The sterile void dissolved into a swirl of crimson and black, and with a soft thud, Algernon stood once more in front of his throne. The air, thick with the lingering scent of his power, was heavy and familiar. He took a deep, steadying breath, his mind still reeling from the eternity he had just spent in a single, focused moment.

He stood motionless for a beat, his eyes scanning the empty throne room. A low, guttural chuckle escaped his lips, a sound that quickly escalated into a deep, echoing laugh. The sound, unhinged and wild, filled the empty hall, with a raw, triumphant expression.

He had done it. He had reached the level of a Super Devil, a power that had once been a distant, impossible dream when he first transmigrated. But now, his horizon had broadened. The thought of Great Red and Ophis, the very pinnacle of power in this world and beyond them, no longer seemed like an impossible fantasy.
