Pariston is involved in transporting Chimera Ant eggs for the V5, which suggests he must have some connection with them. Or perhaps it's not just Pariston, but Beyond behind him, or even the Kakin Empire behind Beyond, that has ties with the V5. This would explain Pariston's actions.
Regardless, the things Pariston knows and is involved in are definitely more than what Netero is aware of. Sometimes, Morin really feels like the old man is a bit out of touch in certain areas. But then again, that's also why he lives so freely and joyfully.
"Pariston, huh? If the opportunity arises, I'll ask him," Morin said. However, he had no intention of seeking out Pariston, that smiling rat.
Instead of dealing with someone like that, he would rather contact the more straightforward and bold Beyond. Not that there seemed to be any need to contact him anyway.
Morin knew of V5's intentions: to transport the Chimera Ants, creatures from the Dark Continent, to the Six Continents via the Navigation Bureau.
They claimed it was to return them to the wild, in the isolated NGL Autonomous State, a place with no technological surveillance, making it ideal for experimentation and development.
V5 wanted the Chimera Ants to grow their population there and then observe if humanity had the strength to eliminate them. Unexpectedly, the Chimera Ants, by consuming Nen users, birthed a King with combat power that was unparalleled worldwide.
Although the Chimera Ants' overall danger rating on the Dark Continent was only B+, that was an average for the entire species. The Ant King, Meruem, alone would likely be rated at least an A.
Even on the Dark Continent, there was no creature stronger than the Ant King. (I doubt that) Of course, great strength doesn't mean invincibility. Didn't the strongest Ant King die from the poison released by the Rose Bomb? There are many ways to defeat an enemy, and humanity's pride lies in their ever-advancing scientific technology.
In any case, Morin had figured out what V5 was planning. If not for the fear that Netero might think Morin was setting him up, he wouldn't mind telling him now. After accepting Netero's request, Morin drank several pots of tea, until Netero's face turned a bit dark, and then he took his leave.
These teas were Netero's collection over the years, each a top-quality treasure. Morin drank so much in one go that Netero felt a bit of heartache. Morin, however, didn't care much for the tea, only noting that it tasted good.
After leaving the Chairman's office, Morin first found Kastro, who was working there, and inquired about his work situation. He tested his strength to see if he had been slacking in his training. Then he caught up with Kanzai before leaving the Hunter Association.
Morin headed straight for the Navigation Bureau. Although he already knew V5's overall plan, he was curious about how the Navigation Bureau managed to bring the Chimera Ants here.
Given the Queen's strength, it was impossible for her to traverse mountains and seas from outside the Mobius Lake to the coast of the Six Continents. Not to mention the colossal beasts in the Mobius Lake between the Six Continents and the Dark Continent.
With the Queen's small stature, reaching here seemed unrealistic. If Morin could find out how the Navigation Bureau brought the Queen to the Six Continents, perhaps he could reverse-engineer a more straightforward way to reach the Dark Continent.
Although such a method likely doesn't exist, as it might only be one-way from the Dark Continent to here, otherwise V5 would have made multiple trips there by now.
However, what V5 and the Navigation Bureau couldn't do, Morin might be able to accomplish because he possesses a magical tool that makes anything possible!
Morin had never interacted with anyone specifically responsible for the Navigation Bureau, which was rumored within the circle to be very mysterious. Though it never appeared in person, its shadow was present behind nearly every major event in the world.
It was an organization jointly established by V5, with global influence, specifically dealing with the Dark Continent, containing various data about it.
Anyone with knowledge of the Dark Continent and an interest in it would know of the Navigation Bureau (it's wiki name is International Permit Agencies) and focus on it.
The data it held was in high demand, often leading Nen users with unique abilities to steal this information or overly confident individuals to infiltrate the Bureau to get what they wanted. This resulted in the Navigation Bureau's location being very secretive; even if one knew its location, it was difficult to access.
When Morin used a tool to find the Navigation Bureau's location, he was surprised to discover it was in such a place. "Inside the volcano's magma..." At the volcano's mouth, Morin looked at the glowing magma below, indicated by his [Guiding Lamp], and nodded slightly. "I didn't expect it to be hidden in a place like this." This place was known as the Golmodra Volcano.
---
Located at the easternmost edge of the Yorubian continent, this area is a unique region where dormant and active volcanoes coexist. Strangely, a dormant volcano might suddenly become active, and vice versa. It's even possible for all to become dormant or active simultaneously. These volcanoes together form the current volcanic group.
Forget the geological principles of dormant and active volcanoes. Remember, this is the world of anime where the Dark Continent exists! If one day Morin discovered that the earliest humans didn't evolve but instead fell from a giant tree, he might just believe it.
The base of the Navigation Bureau is hidden among these volcanoes, providing excellent concealment. Not everyone would think to build a base inside a volcano, let alone within its magma.
Even if those eyeing the Navigation Bureau could find this location, believing the bureau is truly here is another matter. And if they do believe it, how would they enter the magma to reach the bureau's location?
Given the Navigation Bureau's location, there must be Nen users capable of overcoming magma, or perhaps the magma itself is constructed by Nen users. It might even be that the magma is imbued with Nen, alerting them to any intruders.
"As expected of an organization closely tied to the Dark Continent, they have strict control over everything," Morin thought. After using [Gyo] to inspect the magma, Morin didn't rush in. Instead, he pulled out a new tool from his [4D Pocket].
"Wearing this, even if the magma is imbued with Nen, no one will notice my presence." Morin placed a gray hat on his head. The tool: [Stone Hat]. Effect: When worn, the user doesn't become invisible but instead becomes as inconspicuous as a roadside stone. Others can sense the user's presence, but they perceive it as a stone, paying no attention.
The [Stone Hat] is a common yet highly practical tool from "Doraemon." It makes one as unnoticeable as a stone on the roadside. After all, no one specifically observes stones, except maybe Masao from "Crayon Shin-chan."
This function is even more complete than invisibility, as Doraemon's invisibility tools have various flaws, while the [Stone Hat] is not invisibility but surpasses it. Used correctly, it's an excellent tool for infiltration and erasing one's presence. Its practicality is formidable!
With the hat on, Morin becomes as inconspicuous as a stone. This way, even if he enters the magma, he won't be detected or monitored. He could even walk in boldly.
"Apart from avoiding surveillance and alarms, there's also the matter of withstanding the magma," Morin thought as he pulled out a small bottle and drank from it.
Tool: [Eskimo Milk Bottle]. Effect: A cooling device that, when consumed, makes the user feel the temperature drop by 3 degrees upon saying it's too hot.
Magma's harm to the human body comes from two factors: its scorching nature and extreme temperature. For the scorching aspect, Morin can use the [Barrier Ball] to avoid the flowing magma.
As for the temperature, although he has the [Thermal Reversal Frost] tool, the magma's high temperature would make the reversed cold unbearable, rendering it ineffective.
Thus, equipped with the [Stone Hat], activating the [Barrier Ball], and drinking from the [Eskimo Milk Bottle], Morin was fully prepared. Taking a deep breath, he dove into the magma, heading toward the Navigation Bureau deep within the volcanic magma.
With the combined effects of various tools, the seemingly scorching magma caused Morin no harm. As he dove in, he felt a Nen force sweep over him, but it didn't linger. Wearing the Stone Hat, he was as inconspicuous as a pebble. Who would notice a falling pebble, especially in a volcano where it's common?
Lava melts stone, after all! Even if the base below had cameras projecting his image onto screens, the monitoring personnel would dismiss him as a stone, even if his figure occupied most of the screen.
Nobita, wearing this Stone Hat, once sat on a TV, blocking the screen with his legs, yet his father watched TV intently, oblivious to his presence.
