As they rode through the dense forest, the demigod's arm around Anna's waste seemed to grow tighter as though he was trying to absorb her into his being.
The young lady felt a sense of unease, because the farther they rode into the forest, the more the trees closed in around them, and their branches tangled together like a skeletal figure.
"Where does he live?" Anna wondered, her heart pounding against her chest,
"A cottage in the woods?"
She couldn't help but notice the sky getting darker as they rode farther into the forest, wasn't it high noon when they left the castle twenty minutes ago?
"Are you scared?" He asked her, his charming voice caressing her ears like a warm massage.
"You should be." He added, and Anna couldn't help but wonder what would become of her.
What would she see at his place? All she could picture was the bones and remains of those he had killed. Who knows, the skeletons belonging to the King's daughter might be hanging at his doorpost.
