[I have to run or fight! I don't want to die silly!] Max slowly shifted his feet to retreat.
"Hehehe... it's useless for you to retreat or even escape. As long as you're inside the protective dimension I created, you won't be able to run anywhere!" the vampire man scoffed.
"At least I'm not resigned like a fool waiting to die!" Max said firmly.
"Good. Then run, I'll give you three minutes to hide and make an effort!"
Max smiled and ran as fast as he could without wasting a second.
[You may be arrogant for having power, but I'm running because I have a plan. The three minutes you gave me, a good opportunity for me, but a foolishness for him!"]
Max continued to run with all his might. Max happened to run fast, because he often practiced cycling and running.
While running, Max looked at his watch several times, exactly two minutes into his run Max stopped his running.
"Time to execute the first plan!" Max whispered as he stopped running behind one of the school buildings near the ceremony field.
Actually Max didn't just stop, he walked quickly and didn't make a sound as much as possible!
Max remembered that the hearing of the mythical creature's power was very sharp, that's why after running fast the vampire man must have known the location.
With very careful steps so as not to make a sound, Max continued walking which was actually back to the starting point where he ran. The difference was, when he first ran, Max was at the back of the classroom building, this time he was at the front.
Not long into the run, Max looked at his watch and immediately decided to hide, as the three minutes had expired.
The nearest classroom was entered by Max who immediately hid under the teacher's desk.

At the place where the vampire man was still hanging on the building while humming. He looked very happy. Probably because a toy happened to appear.
"Outside of the task I was doing, I did not expect there to be entertainment and it is young! The meat is definitely tender and the blood is sweet because it's young! Time to have some fun! Hehehe..."
The male vampire released his foot grip on the edge of the tall building wall, his body slid smoothly a few meters then he flapped his wings and made his body now float in the air and stood watching in the direction he last heard Max's footsteps running.
Casually the vampire flapped his wings to fly down the three-story building, with five classrooms on each floor. He was so confident in his strength against ordinary humans.
Arriving at the end of the building, the vampire man turned his head towards the right, where the human he was looking for was probably hiding.
[Hum... where might that child be hiding?]
The vampire man flew towards the right side of the building that led to the front. He was a little astonished, as the last place he heard the sound of running steps was that place.
The vampire decided to check the lush flowers and trees around the place, thinking that his 'toy' was hiding among the flowers or trees.
"No?! Where did that kid go?!" hissed the vampire man whose mood had turned gloomy, having not found the human he was looking for among the flowers and trees.
The vampire man began to search the classrooms in the first floor row. "Just watch out if I find you, boy!"

Meanwhile in his hiding place, Max waited for a sign once the three-minute count ended. Max heard the sound of the vampire talking to himself and also laughing, albeit faintly from his hiding place.
A few seconds later, there was the sound of wings beating from the top of the classroom building and then beginning to slowly move away.
That was Max's signal to move out of hiding as the vampire approached the location where Max had last stopped running.
[Exactly what I thought! He was tracking from the sound!] Max hurriedly walked after closing the door carefully.
Max continued to walk quickly, and silently along the lawn or the ground to minimize the sound coming from his footsteps.
Every time he stepped on a slippery corridor, Max would reduce the speed of his steps to avoid the squeaking sound of his shoes every time he turned a corner or stopped suddenly on a slippery floor.
"WHERE ARE YOU BOY?!" roared the vampire who transformed into a half-bat when it did not find Max in the fifth minute of running.
Max seemed to smile at the vampire's roar. [I may not have the strength like you, but I still have the brains to think calmly in the face of mythical creatures that only have muscles!]
"I WILL DRINK YOUR BLOOD DRY WHEN I SEE YOU!" came the vampire's furious roar again.
Max looked toward the source of the sound. [It's getting close! I need to speed up my pace to get to that place before it's discovered!]
In a building, with four rooms and a spacious corridor with many benches and tables arranged neatly, not far from the classroom building where Max hid earlier, that's where Max walked sneakily and sometimes hid behind flowers.
Arriving at the corridor of the building which was none other than the cafeteria, Max immediately checked the small fist-sized bottles on the table.
Max's smile widened at the contents. [I need one more tool for self-defense!]
Max looked at the kitchen section of the cafeteria.
"MEET!!!" a roar was heard followed by the sound of flapping wings and the strong wind that the vampire's flapping wings produced as it flew away quickly upon seeing Max.
Max grabbed two small bottles the size of his fist from the top of two tables at the sight of the rapidly approaching vampire. "Come, come closer, brainless creature!"
"Weak humans like you are just food for me!" exclaimed the flying vampire as it swooped down to enter the corridor and prepared to lunge at Max who was standing behind one of the tables.
Max's smile widened at the sight of the vampire, his right and left hands clutching the small bottle tightly, he threw it as soon as the vampire entered the cafeteria corridor.
The two bottles that turned out to contain salt slammed right into the vampire's body who in a second was knocked to the table.
The body of the vampire hit by the salt powder seemed to vaporize, and groaned in pain among the pile of messy tables.
[Plan successful!] Max immediately took the opportunity to carry out his next plan. Looking for something that could be used to defend himself.
Max turned his body around and he was shocked to see another vampire standing nearby.
The vampire swung his hand that had long and sharp claws right at Max's neck who was unable to dodge, but at the last second a flash of light resembling a whip caught the vampire's hand until it was cut off.
The vampire caught a glimpse of the source of the whip, almost at the same time as Max.
The vampire jumped to the side, while holding his severed hand bleeding profusely.
The vampire was chased by a woman with long black hair who carried a flash of light that formed a whip with a claw-like tip.
Although it was very fast, Max could see that the girl's hands had claws, arms that had tiger-like fur under the hoodie jacket she was wearing, and a pair of tiger ears on top of her head.
[What else just appeared?! A girl in a cosplay? Don't tell me I'm being pranked on some crappy television show!]
