She couldn't sit back and watch everything she loved slip away from her because she was too much of a chicken to do anything about it.
But what could she do?
Rosaline rubbed her big belly, she had dialed Shaan's number more than a hundred times in the last five days and there was no response , returned calls or missed calls from him.
She missed him and Kayid so badly,she didn't know what to do without the both of them around...
Fear was knocking on the doors of her heart at the thought of Nolan being released. Jonathan had used the heat and tension to announce that he was going to the station later in the afternoon to finalize Nolan's bail.
"Bullcrap..." She hissed.
Rosaline shakingly rubbed her temples, her eyes filled up with tears. She had been crying a lot lately, she took her phone and dialed Shaan's number again.
"Pick up, pick up please please" She said through tears.
She felt dirty and disgusting, she really hurt his feelings and here she was trying to beg.....
Obviously, there was no answer. Frustrated,she threw her phone on the bed beside her.
She sighed and looked at the ceiling.
"Uh.... it's pretty white,funny how I've never noticed you, Ms ceiling, you're so beautiful, don't mind me I'm just going nuts" Rosaline chuckled.
It really was funny how ,her quirky side always surfaced anytime she was deep in sh*t.
"Once again...i managed to crush my entire life. Who needs a man anyways or his sweet little baby boy?."
A one Miss Rosaline,soon to be a second time divorcee... I'm screwed.
Then her phone rang, she was about to jolt herself up, but her belly said nuh-uh, so she sat up slowly.
It was an Instagram call,who was it?
"Ab_3690....i feel like i know this person" She picked the call anyways.
"Hello?..Rosy?"
Ah ..the person knows me. i feel like a popstar.
"Yes, tis i...who am i speaking with?"
"It's me, Abeer" the voice said from the other end of the line.
"Abeerr?!" Oh God, thank you!
"Yes, yes, the one and only. How're you doing?"
"I'm okayy...what about you?. How's Mother and Majeed?"
"They're cool,last i spoke to them which was few minutes ago."
"Oh yeah yeah ,right...you got into Harvard?"
"I didn't....got in to Imperial College "
"Impe-wait....LONDON?!"
"Yes, London!!...i rushed to pack my bags before mom says no, y'know how she is"
"Yeah... you'd probably be in a Muslim school if she had her way or working for her company " They laughed lightly
"I heard about you and my brother...are you okay?"

"Oh ,Kayid threw his phone in hot choco when he was having a fit. He had to buy a new phone though he got the old one fixed and but he changed a lot of things"

"He's gonna have my hide, but i will do it for the right price"

"At the hospital...the one that you go to for check ups in GV heights-"

"-there's an intern there, his nickname's Bunny boy. He is dating a doctor there, he's probably gay, the doctor's name is Gilbert. I don't know if it's a first or last name that's why i assumed he was gay. I need you to help me take a picture of them, a video would be better. "
"How.....why?" Rosaline chuckled nervously
This sounds really disturbing, should i be scared at the fact that she knows all that or that I'm actually considering doing it....Lord! Rosaline swallowed.
"Why...my roommate showed me a photo of her -in quotes-..man and i told her that he was probably a woman and she doesn't believe me. How...they don't hide it, his like Doctor Gilbert's right-hand man-woman. They kissed in front of me after my consultation last time i was in Ohio for your wedding.Although i was y'know being a peeping tom"
"Okayy.... what'd you go to the hospital for?"
"Oh , nothing serious. i thought i was with child"
"How?!!!!!" Rosaline almost yelled.
"Y'know Joesph also questioned Mary's pregnancy.... anyways even if your mission fails , I'll still give you his number"
"Why can't you just give me now??"
"Then you won't be desperate...anyways Dr. Gil is always free around two o'clock, not officially, it's when his quest with his conquest lil' bunny boy starts, but they'll make stops to treat patients if you request for 'em"
"How on earth do you know this?"
"Y'know the world also questioned Jesus...."
"So you're Jesus now?"
"No, but since i am now a child of the Most high ,i am like Jesus. Enough chit chat it's almost two, I'll send you a photo of my friend with Bunny for reference. Bye,call me back in two hours. I love you, smooches "
"Smooches"Rosaline chuckled as she hung up.
"Since when did she become Christian....upsy daisy,gotta get dressed" She stood up slowly but strongly, finally she had something to look up to.

Shaan laid Kayid down on the bed, finally some peace and quiet. He placed a kiss on Kayid's forehead. Seperation from Rosaline was not only affecting him but Kayid too.
Hell, the boy could cry a deaf man back to hearing. Shaan walked to the living room with the last of his strength,he pounced on the sofa, sleeping on the bed would only make him miss her more. His phone vibrated beside his tummy, he pulled it out and picked the call.
"Is another one of your I'm pregnant by the holy spirit rant?"
"No,i can see visions now" Abeer laughed "No, i seriously can"
"What do you want , Beer? " He said groggily
"Nothing, i just wanted to tell ya, i gave your new number to your wife"
All the strength he had lost were restored to him.
"You did wha-"
" 'kay, bye now" She hung up.
Shaan sighed, she obviously wasn't asking for permission so he couldn't get mad. He glanced at his phone, maybe he should call her, it would be nice to hear her voice.
No,he was going to wait, he had to. She was to come to him ,if she really wanted to work things out. But he missed her , he stared at his phone for so long ,he didn't know when sleep swallowed him whole.

I can't believe I'm doing this.... Rosaline rubbed the tip of her nose , she was finally going to the consulting room,after an hour of waiting.
And much to her surprise,she was being led by "Bunny Boy", whose real name was Brandon Upton. He wasn't overly handsome and he didn't have that boyish charm or that nerdy look....he was an in-betweener, a shape shifting demon. With the appropriate attire and accessories,he could look different parts. One thing couldn't be missed,he looked happy....like he had been bitten like a radioactive love bug, which meant that Abeer was right.
Rosaline looked at his honey brown hair, it was greasy and unnecessarily shiny.
I bet i could get oil from it for a whole year.
Rosaline snorted, he was ordinary in a unique way. She nodded proudly,deciding that she was going to add that to her report for Abeer.
Failed in his real name and he still got an F+ on his nickname,life sure ain't fair. Rosaline thought to herself.
"Hello ,madam...have a seat"

Rosaline straightened her skirt before sitting, she was nervous but she had to be as natural as possible. Rosaline paused, she sniffed softly, the room was filled with a smell only females would use and it was really strong. What kind of man wore cologne made of rose , maybe it was a body spray or the air freshener.
"Yes ,thank you ,Doctor" She smiled.
He waved his hand as if to say she didn't have to thank him before reaching for the file in Bunny's hand.
Dainty, slender fingers....he is a lovely man, he's probably the fem in the relationship.
Rosaline scanned the man before her, he looked tall even though he was sitting, his dark hair was cut to a bob ,that made him look like an Egyptian prince . His skin was dark and tanned but that didn't hide the freckles on his face, though his eyes were brown, it was really deep , almost black but you could still see the brown in them, his lips were full and wine. He was fine. Rosaline did a rerun of the photo Abeer sent

"I see you have a file here,but... you're not from here?" He said interuppting Rosaline's observation and mental notes.
"Um...yes,a friend of mine lives here so i come to visit every now and then"
"Okay,and what are you here for today?"

"Uh....i hear voices, sometimes i get scared for no reason and I haven't seen my period for a while now"
"Your period?" He looked confused.
Rosaline traced his eyes to her big belly
Of course ,you sweetpea, you're pregnant!.
"Haha...kidding. I just had terrible migraine last night and my tummy looked like it was about to drop,so i thought I'd check what's up"
"Um,i believe you should go to the OB-GYN , do you have a personal obstetrician here,that you consult on your regular check-ups anytime you're around ?"
"Uh...." Think!!!!!! "-uh....um okay you got me, i have spoken to my doctor back at home, i came here today because my friend really likes you and um... she's shy and she wants to know if you're in a relationship with Mr Bunny"
He looked at Bunny and smiled,Bunny turned bright red.
What in the homo is going on?!
"Well.... I'm not dating anyone right now but I'm also not interested in anyone and i honestly do not fancy women"
"Why....if you don't mind me asking"
"Because i am a woman... isn't that obvious?"
Rosaline's brain and mind immediately pulled a blank but she quickly recovered enough to say...
"Yes, totally obvious.....if i may ask, what is your name?"
"Dina Gilbert...."
"Oh, i knew that.....uh can i record you saying that you don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend if you don't mind? .It's for my girl,she loves proof. Eats it for lunch" Shut up!.
"Um...sure, no problem " She seemed uncomfortable with it as she glanced at Bunny. The happy aura he exuded before faded in an instant.
His eyes done lost it's shine.....this ought to be good.....
Rosaline quickly pulled out her phone and started recording.
"I...um....i am very much single and I'm not looking to have a partner-" Dina looked at Bunny "-but i have someone i love"
Bunny looked up like a lovestruck puppy,hearing her say that must've tickled his brain . Rosaline rolled her eyes. She didn't think it fair that they were finding and expressing love when she was fighting for love and was on the verge of losing it.

Rosaline recited in her head till she thanked Dina and excused herself to give the lovebirds space to express themselves before she gave in to the urge to destroy their new found love.
When she got to the parking lot, her eyes caught a family, a man, his wife and two kids,that were at the back seat squealing and fighting over who was going to hold the baby.The woman was holding their new born and smiling ,her husband looked excited even though he was yelling at the kids to keep their voice down,they looked happy, ready to face the hardships that came with raising their new child with the ones they already had,the woman turned and caught Rosaline staring.
Embarrassed,Rosaline blushed and waved, thankfully the woman waved back.
"Safe delivery" She yelled and was getting into the car
"Congratulations" Rosaline shouted as loud as she could.
The woman waved as acknowledgement then the car drove off. Rosaline took heavy steps to her car, she got in and sat for a while. She felt nauseous.
What if the happiness she just witnessed was something she would only see and never feel.
