Summer pastures had mountains, where a group of about a dozen wild yaks lived.
It just so happened that the summer pasture was at the edge of the buffer zone, where cattle were not allowed on the slopes.
They allocated pasture next to the buffer zone because Uncle Tashi was very conscientive about protecting the pasture, plus the locals gave his family a bit of special treatment, allowing them to try and lure wild yaks with their domestic yaks to produce a second generation of Wild Blood Yaks.
Bringing the Golden Wild Yak over would perfectly integrate it into the group of wild yaks.
It was somewhat easier for a young calf to join the group, but only if it could withstand the "bullying" from the adult male yaks.
"Looking at this calf's build, I don't believe for a second it's not mature. But if Mr. Chen says so, I believe you. Should I find someone to drive over and transport it?"
