For a moment, all ten people present had their eyes darting around restlessly; this was quite an unusual "battlefield of gazes".
Gu Pan, however, seemed oblivious to the subtle actions of her teammates, both new and old. She was very focused, and once again explained the plan for everyone to explore the depths of the church together.
"Does everyone understand?" Gu Pan glanced around the group. Once everyone nodded, she led by example, signing her name, dripping blood on the parchment — the covenant mainly relied on "blood", so whether the name signed was real or not didn't matter.
With her leading, the others also hastily spilled blood, followed by chanting incantations and swearing oaths, mostly pledging that traitors would be struck by lightning, or similar curses. Finally came the blood covenant imprint entering their bodies.
Everything went very smoothly; the contract was complete and formed a closed loop.
