A few days passed, and Eden was distributing porridge in the Lower City District in the name of Arsia, as usual.
Compared to the Upper City, the Lower City District was undoubtedly much more chaotic, not only because it was filled with all sorts of unsavory characters but also because the buildings were crowded together like interlocking canine teeth, the streets constructed in winding patterns, and without familiarity, one was bound to get lost.
Eden still remembered the scene on the first day of distributing food there. Initially, people didn't believe in such windfalls from the sky. Each of them eyed Eden and the others warily, but soon, after the restless poor started receiving the food, the other civilians in the Lower City District were stirred up immediately. Once the first brave soul took the plunge, others followed like a swarm devouring the catch.
