On the eve of the surveillance malfunction,
the Shop Owner delayed quite some time because he got entangled with Mentis. Even when leaving that mansion, a drop of cold sweat ran down his cheek.
Almost, he was about to be completely exposed, and all opportunities would be terminated; thankfully, he was decisive enough to dispel the other's doubts.
With the Stocking Killer waving goodbye, it seemed as if the whole old mansion was waving farewell to him.
Unlike the Shop Owner's comic creation, Mentis's works revolve solely around himself; he is an entirely selfish mystery author.
Leaving Mentis,
the Shop Owner didn't rush into action. Perhaps there's still a "line of reasoning" hidden on him, and he needs to wait for a while.
Everyday life is unchanging.
Additionally, his suspicions have not been completely cleared.
