On August 26, the second day of the Kantou Competition.
Although I wanted to make the most of the last days of summer vacation and continue practicing, as a high school club, it was doomed that we couldn't devote all our time to the competition.
"Does anyone have any good suggestions?" Komatsu Misaki, the Wind Instrument Club President, stood on the podium in the music classroom.
"Why not just play the competition pieces?"
"Exactly, that way we wouldn't waste any training time."
"Right now, I just want to practice, practice, practice!"
"I understand how everyone feels, but the competition pieces alone aren't enough," Komatsu Misaki stated with difficulty, "This year, the school has allocated thirty minutes for the Wind Instrument Club, and our competition pieces only last twelve minutes. To deal with the extra time, we must practice new music. Kiyono agrees with this point too."
