Lin Xian said with a smile, "Great, let's settle it then. I'll pick you up on Friday afternoon and also shop for some
household items."
After speaking, they both caught a whiff of an enticing aroma.
They saw the boss carrying a huge iron pot, coming from the kitchen, and the two stopped chatting and concentrated fully
to tackle the delectable chicken in the wok. It was indeed well-prepared, especially the corn cakes at the edge of the
pot, dipped in the thick and slightly spicy sauce. One bite was simply bliss.
The chicken was not dry at all, fresh and juicy, and had a nice chewiness.
Once the meal was finished, Zhang Mengyao took a sip of tea, leaned back in the chair with satisfaction, and gently rubbed her stomach with her little hand.
After a short break, Lin Xian spoke, "I'm too full. How about we go for a stroll to digest? Zhang Mengyao nodded
in agreement.
They paid the bill and wandered around the nearby streets.
