Admiral Diaz watched as Lance entered with two people carrying boxes behind him, unaware that his expression was identical to Admiral Miles' first meeting with Lance.
He didn't even stand, just remained seated in his chair.
However, he didn't appear overly arrogant; he wasn't leaning far back, crossing his legs, and looking at Lance with a dismissive glare, but instead, he was smiling politely.
His hands were placed on the table in front of him; from his face, expression, and eyes, there wasn't much arrogance to be seen.
Yet, deep down, he did harbor some arrogance.
Lance had the boxes placed next to the chair opposite Admiral Diaz, then had the two attendants leave.
He walked over and shook the Admiral's hand before seating himself opposite.
"I hope you were satisfied with the little gift from last time."
Lance's opening was direct, and Admiral Diaz maintained his smile, "It was alright."
