Devine nodded, "Reliable."
Director Dale didn't immediately express his stance, "I need to think about it. Don't tell anyone about this for now, I'll get back to you in the next couple of days."
Devine nodded, "No problem." As he spoke, he stood up to leave.
After watching him leave, Director Dale, still hesitating, dialed Lance's number, and Lance happened to be by the phone.
"This is Dale."
"Dale?"
"It's really not easy waiting for a call from you. What breeze prompted you to call me proactively?"
There was a hint of mockery in Lance's tone, but Director Dale didn't feel annoyed or disgusted. He brought up the recent incident and then asked, "What exactly are you planning to do?"
He couldn't quite understand, everything was fine, so what trick was Lance up to again?
Lance went over his ideas, and Director Dale had to admit, when Lance did certain things, he indeed resembled a seasoned veteran.
