This was the most restful sleep Fegar had had in a while, free from burdens, worries, unease. He lay on the soft bed, resting on a soft pillow, under a soft quilt, almost as if he had returned to the womb.
He curled up his body like he had before he came into this world, the surrounding darkness did not bring him fear, only a sense of safety.
Until—
He felt someone calling him from behind, he didn't know what was there, he just wanted to move forward, but the calls behind him grew clearer, even a face appeared in his dream.
"Fack!" Suddenly, he sat up abruptly, pounding his fists on the quilt, angrily looking at the person standing at the bedroom door, "You ruined my good dream!"
"Now, you have one minute, tell me why you did this."
"If your reason doesn't convince me, I'll let you know the cost of doing so!"
The person at the door remained largely unmoved by his bad temper and said calmly, "Our warehouse in the west district was burned."
