He had come here because Lance and Jack had arranged to meet, and by the time he arrived at the racetrack, it was already teeming with people.
A glance across the crowd revealed almost everyone had a "Horse Racing Guide" or "Race Paper" in hand, gathered in groups discussing their opinions; the race was still over an hour away.
Before the race started, they had to make their decisions, which for many wasn't an easy task—especially for those dream chasers, who, if they weren't betting on single races, nearly had no margin for error!
Lance soon spotted Jack at the prearranged meeting spot.
Today, Jack was wearing a flat top hat, dressed in very formal attire. Horse racing might be a leisure activity, but that didn't stop them from waving their betting tickets and shouting the names of their horses.
They still considered themselves gentlemen, to the point where some high-end racetracks refused entry to those not in formal attire.
So, almost everyone here was dressed very formally.
