An Yi ran far away and stopped where Chu Kaifeng couldn't see her.
She wiped her tears with a handkerchief, and the heartbroken expression quickly disappeared, replaced by disgust and speechlessness.
"Mr. Chu, he is nothing special after all."
She said quietly.
An Yi originally thought she could marry any man without considering her likes, for money and power.
This was her thought when she had no money and lacked material comforts.
But now she wasn't short of money. The university she attended was good, and if she worked hard, she could probably get a good job after graduation. In that case, with her looks and character, she wouldn't lack good suitors.
Once her material needs were satisfied, An Yi began to pursue spiritual life.
She was already impatient with dealing with immature men who she found beneath her.
Her current pursuits have completely changed.
