After a few minutes, Usopp had recovered, so he came up with a plan against the pirates.
"They'll come through this coast because it leads directly to the village. It's the only path; the others are cliffs. It's easy to say we can stop them here," said Usopp, thinking about how to do it.
"You think so?" Luffy asked him.
"But the truth is that it's not easy at all. What's your specialty?" he asked the four of them.
"Cutting," said Zoro.
"Hitting," said Luffy.
"Stealing," said Nami.
"Good question," said Oliver.
"Mine is running away," Usopp told them, which caused a small negative reaction.
"YOU have to fight too!!" Luffy, Nami, and Zoro yelled at him angrily.
"O-Okay calm down," he recovered from the situation. "We'll do this."
Usopp began explaining what the plan would be.
"We have to put oil on the slope so that when the pirates arrive they won't be able to climb, and taking advantage of that moment, we attack them," Usopp told them.
With a barrel of oil, they started preparing the slope as soon as possible.
"This is great!" Luffy exclaimed.
"So our mission is to protect this slope," said Usopp.

"Let's go, people! Destroy the entire village! And then the mansion!" Jango shouted, ordering the pirates.
"Yes, Captain!" the pirates shouted in unison.
The pirates ran to climb the slope, ignoring the group's two boats.
When they were climbing, Oliver emerged from the forest, punching the first pirate and sending him crashing into the others.
"I got here first. That's good," said Oliver.
"What the...?"
Oliver began throwing multiple punches with his right hand, stopping them from advancing.
One of the pirates tried to attack him with a club, so Oliver used his right arm to repel him while channeling Electro through it.
The pirate was paralyzed, so Oliver grabbed his arm and used Electro again to fully electrocute him, then hit the rest of the pirates, launching them away.
"What the..." Jango was shocked by what he saw.
"I'm Oliver," said Oliver. "I thought you'd be sleeping just like the kids after your hypnosis trick."
"You were with them? I don't remember you," Jango said, noticing the defeated pirates not getting up.
Just then, Usopp came out of the forest and saw Oliver standing in front of the pirates.
"Oliver! You're here!" he exclaimed happily. "Weird, I thought Luffy would arrive before me."
"He must've gotten lost along the way, but you didn't take that long either," said Oliver, taking a combat stance.
"That's true, you left without us noticing," said Usopp.
"Well, that's because I remembered this path existed, so I came to check it out. Now we have to worry about these pirates until the rest arrive, so cover me," said Oliver.
"What are you waiting for?! Keep attacking!" Jango ordered the pirates.
Soon after, Nami also arrived and saw all the pirates.
"Oliver, you're here too," Nami said.
"They're arriving one by one. You'll need to support me from behind," Oliver said, looking at the pirates. 'I hope I don't end up impaling someone.'
"And Luffy? Didn't he leave first?" Nami asked, not seeing him.
"I don't know. He got scared or got lost," Usopp said, preparing himself.
"Then he got lost. I can't believe it! And right now of all times," Nami said, seeing how many pirates there were.
"How about we focus on this, and later you can complain to Luffy if you want," said Oliver.
The pirates looked at each other and advanced to fight the ones in front of them.
Oliver, standing ahead, began blocking the pirates' attacks while striking them back to slow their advance.
While he handled the pirates in close combat, Usopp and Nami attacked from afar, throwing rocks or using tacks, making it harder for them to advance.
Because of the tacks, the pirates began stepping on them, so Oliver took the chance to grab a pirate, electrocute him, and use him like a club to hit the others, knocking several back and paralyzing them in the process.
Usopp started shooting pirates who tried to get up, greatly helping Oliver.
"Nice shot!" Nami shouted.
The pirates didn't know how to get past; if they tried attacking Usopp and Nami, Oliver would take them down and use them as a weapon against the others.
'Street Fighting is really useful for grabbing these pirates,' Oliver thought while swinging them like rags.
"Hey idiots! Forget about attacking them and go straight to the village! Don't you remember?! This is part of Captain Kuro's plan! If we fail… he'll kill us all!! Don't you get it, idiots?!" Jango yelled, reminding them of their situation.
Realizing this, the pirates did whatever they could to get past, even using their own nakama as shields.
Oliver tried to push them back when one managed to stab him with a spear through the stomach.
"Oliver!" Nami yelled.
"This bastard—"
He grabbed the spear, electrified it, then grabbed the pirate's face and threw him into the others.
The remaining pirates, desperate to get through, began stabbing their own nakama to injure Oliver.
"This trash is getting annoying!"
Seeing he was taking too much damage, Oliver covered his face with his left forearm and charged forward with his elbow like a lance, smashing through all of them and launching them into the air.
"WHOAAA!! Amazing!!" Usopp shouted.
"What the hell happened?!" Jango yelled, shocked.
At that moment, Luffy and Zoro arrived at the top of the hill, both extremely angry.
"Nami, you bitch!! How dare you leave me behind like that!!" Zoro shouted furiously at her.
"Usopp, you idiot!! Next time tell me where north is!!" Luffy yelled angrily.
"Now two more show up. What the hell is going on in this town?" Jango muttered.
"I hope you're happy. You took way too long!" Nami told them, which angered Zoro.
"YOU'RE the one who left me behind!!"
Seeing Luffy and Zoro arrive, Oliver finally relaxed, feeling his legs almost collapse.
"If you two had taken less time, Oliver wouldn't be so injured!" Nami yelled at Luffy and Zoro.
"Well, it doesn't matter now. At least you're here," Oliver said, placing a hand on Nami's shoulder. "Thanks for the support from the back. I would've been worse if I fought alone."
Jango saw how his pirates were defeated by just a few people.
"What's wrong, are you really going to lose to a bunch of brats?" Jango asked the pirates.
"N-No sir!" they said, getting up a little, still shocked and some terrified of Oliver above them.
"We have no time to waste. If they're strong, we'll just have to become stronger!" Jango told them, lifting a ring and beginning his movements.
"Look at the ring! When I say, 'One, Two, Jango,' you'll become stronger and tougher. You'll be MUCH, MUCH stronger!!" he said as they stared at it.
"What are they doing?" Luffy asked curiously.
"I don't know," Usopp replied.
"It's the hypnosis again. They're going to believe they're stronger. How can they be so stupid?" Nami said.
'If I look at it, will it affect me?' Oliver wondered.
"ONE… TWO… JANGO!"
When he finished saying it, the pirates—exhausted and wounded—regained their energy and became stronger, even breaking part of the cliff.
"I can't believe it! It really worked!" Nami said, terrified.
"If one of them can break rock like that, what will they all do together?!" Usopp said, terrified.
"Go!! Finish every one of them!!" Jango ordered.
The pirates, now enhanced, charged straight at the protagonists.
"Go uphill! We'll handle this!" Zoro ordered Nami and Usopp, who obeyed.
"And once again, everything is fine," Oliver said as he watched them run.
"Do you think you can handle this many?" Zoro asked Oliver, who nodded. "Hey Luffy… LUFFY?!"
Luffy didn't answer, but when he did, he screamed at the sky, completely enraged and in the same state as the pirates.
"YOU GOT HYPNOTIZED TOO?!!" everyone yelled seeing him like that.
"Hahaha!" Oliver burst out laughing at Luffy's condition.
"What?" Jango was confused.
Luffy rushed at them, throwing multiple punches into the air.
"GOMU GOMU NO… GATLING! / Gum-Gum Gatling!"
He threw hundreds of punches, defeating the pirates climbing the slope almost instantly, then chased the rest, who ran away terrified.
"Well, do you want to rest?" Oliver said, sitting on the ground.
Luffy went to the pirates' ship, lifted the figurehead, and tried to attack the pirates with it. They became even more terrified and begged their captain for help, but Jango—managing to use his hypnosis—made Luffy fall asleep, causing the figurehead to fall on him.
