Kang-woo watched Chin-hwa as he cried and then pressed his lips on his shoulder.
"Don't cry, Hwa," he said, his tone soft and considerate. "Please, don't cry. You know it's not your fault, so why are you crying?"
"I'm crying because I know you've been suffering for so long while I... I was blaming you for leaving me." He cried. "I'm crying because I couldn't even be there to comfort you."
Kang-woo went silent, his eyes dwindling away for a second. He too, wished Hwa was by his side throughout the whole process, but...
"You would only worry," Kang-woo said. "I love you, Hwa. And because I love you so much, I couldn't bear to have you worrying next to me. To see you in tears as you fear that I might die. That is why I asked everyone to keep it from you. And they all seemed to know that you would worry till your eyes no longer leaked tears but blood, so they agreed. Hwa," he held him closer, their skin melting into each other. "Please, do not blame yourself, and be happy for me."
