Shukaku's sharp, wild roar echoed throughout Sunagakure as it spat out three chakra wind bullets in quick succession, firing them at Kenshi's Wind Release clone flying through the air.
"Wind Release: Slash Wave!"
This time, Kenshi's clone reacted even faster. The moment Shukaku's three chakra wind bullets were released, his three slash waves arrived.
Clang clang clang!
As expected, the three slash waves instantly cut through Shukaku's three chakra wind bullets without losing much power, continuing to slash at Shukaku's massive body.
In an instant, Shukaku's two huge sand arms were severed at the shoulders, flying upward. A huge gash appeared from his belly to his forehead, with sand spraying out like blood.

Yet several people stayed, eyes fixed on the figure rapidly closing in on Shukaku, confident Lord Kazekage would stop the Tailed Beast Bomb.

Chiyo shouted angrily at the younger ones who refused to leave the Kazekage's building rooftop.
But it was already too late for scolding.
Just as the Tailed Beast Bomb in Shukaku's mouth was about to form, Kenshi's Wind Release clone arrived beneath Shukaku, delivering a palm strike to his chin.

The Air Palm, compressed from Wind Release slash chakra, struck Shukaku's chin like a massive fist.

Meanwhile, Shukaku, still airborne, felt a fresh wave of intense pain in his belly before his body recoiled like a slingshot, propelled by a tremendous force.
Midair, Kenshi's Wind Release clone retracted his fist and watched Shukaku fly away from the village. Focusing his mind, he gave chase.
"Wind Release: Slash Fist!"
Catching up to Shukaku's airborne form, Kenshi's clone struck again with a punch, unleashing a burst of wind pressure formed from Wind Release slash chakra, hitting Shukaku's belly.
"Gah…"
Shukaku screamed sharply once more, his body violently knocked back again, continuing to retreat from Sunagakure.
Thud thud thud!
Three consecutive punches kept Shukaku airborne without landing. Even when he tried to counterattack, Kenshi's clone interrupted him each time.
Before this human bug, the mighty One-Tail Shukaku was utterly powerless to fight back.
Anger built within Shukaku, his wild chakra gathering in his belly. Soon, he vowed to make this human bug taste the true power of Shukaku.

Two kilometers from the village, Kenshi's Wind Release clone ceased his assault. Shukaku's massive body finally landed, the soft sand rippling like waves around him.
"Wind Release: Sand Explosion Rampage!"
The moment he landed, Shukaku formed hand seals and opened his huge mouth, spewing a torrent of wind blades. These blades combined with the swirling sand to form razor-sharp wind-sand blades, surging like a flood toward Kenshi's clone.
Facing the raging sand blade torrent hundreds of meters high, Kenshi's clone raised his right hand, fingers forming a sword tip, and slashed downward.
"Wind Release: Slash Wave!"
Zing!
A sharp slash shot out, instantly cutting through the overwhelming sand blade torrent, splitting it to both sides of Kenshi's clone.
Crash!
Kenshi's clone stood firm like a towering rock in a raging river, forcefully parting Shukaku's sand blade flood.
"This human…" Shukaku's eyes widened in shock that his massive attack was so easily split, but then he burst into wild laughter.
"You've fallen for it, brat!"
"Sandfall Great Burial!"
The sand blade torrent was only the first wave. The real attack was the flowing sand beneath Kenshi's clone's feet.
With Shukaku's roar, an endless sea of sand surged upward, instantly engulfing Kenshi's clone in a mountain of sand.
"Sand Burial Seal!"
Shukaku slammed his hands onto the ground. Instantly, the sealing jutsu's runes spread from his body into the sand mountain.
Once the sealing jutsu was complete, even Kenshi's Wind Release slash technique wouldn't help.
"Yaha!"
"You're sealed!"
Just as Shukaku rejoiced, two sharp slash waves burst from the compressed sand mountain.
Kenshi's Wind Release clone leapt out, hovering before a stunned Shukaku.
"Shukaku."
Kenshi's clone looked at the confused beast and suddenly smiled. "I heard that when the Sage of Six Paths divided the Tailed Beast chakra, the Nine-Tails got nine parts out of ten, and the remaining eight Tailed Beasts shared the last part. They say the fewer tails you have, the less chakra you get."
"Is that true, Shukaku?" Kenshi's clone asked with a grin.
"How do you know about the Sage of Six Paths?"
At first, Shukaku was shocked and puzzled that a human knew about their creation.
But when Kenshi's clone said the Nine-Tails had the most chakra and Shukaku the least, the One-Tail instantly lost composure, opening his mouth to angrily curse.
"You little brat, what do you know? That stinky fox can't be stronger than me! I'm the strongest Tailed Beast!"
"Watch closely, this is my true power!"
Furious, Shukaku howled and leapt high backward, creating distance from Kenshi's clone.
Then he began gathering massive chakra to form a Tailed Beast Bomb.
He might be weaker than anyone else, but never weaker than that stinky fox.
This human brat dared say his power was less than that fox's-everyone could tolerate that, but Shukaku would never forgive.
He would show this human brat what destruction really means.
Hiss!
"Uh… huh?"
Suddenly, Shukaku felt a chill on his neck. His gaze dropped as the massive chakra he gathered inside disconnected from his severed head, leaving him stunned and confused.
Kenshi's Wind Release clone withdrew his extended right hand and quietly watched Shukaku's head fall, curious.
"I wonder if Shukaku's chakra life will die if his head is cut off?"
Previously, when his arms were severed, Shukaku reformed them, and the wounds were filled with sand.
He seemed to have an elemental, energy-based life form.
But other Tailed Beasts, like the Nine-Tails and Eight-Tails, clearly have flesh and blood.
Kinkaku and Ginkaku once ate the Nine-Tails' flesh to gain control over its chakra.
Orochimaru also cultivated a horn from the Eight-Tails' horn cells.
This shows that although Tailed Beasts are chakra lifeforms, they possess biological tissue structures.
Any life with flesh and blood should suffer greatly if its head is severed.
