(Drakken's POV)
I looked up at the night sky, seeing the stars above the land of Dorne. I was sitting on a chair, a table with a cup of wine was next to me. I had been here for about two hours, staring up at the sky, seeing the way the stars twinkled in the night.
I remember seeing these stars with Tyene a couple of years ago prior to putting a child inside her. I remember the talk that we had on the roof of the castle. It was a nice talk, one that I did enjoy. That woman had a gentle heart and I don't think she deserved to deal with someone like me.
But oh well, it is what ended up happening. But at the very least, she is happy with having our daughter. As long as she cares for the girl, it doesn't really matter at this point.
"Hm....." I said as I kept staring at the sky, "I wonder if Riktor is looking at the same stars I am....."
He wasn't that far away. From what I heard, he had taken complete control of the Stepstones and pushed out the Triarchy. He is currently locking the area down completely and will make his move. I think it is best if I don't get involved, the momentum he has is quite good and I won't want to ruin it. I have sent word to Maegor to join him when the time is right, but I don't know how that will fare.
"Drakken." I heard Maegelle call out for me
I looked over to see her walking up to me, wearing her nightgown as her hair was let loose. She looked so beautiful, the way her hair glowed in the moonlight.
"Hey." I said, a soft tone in my voice, "What is it?"
She reached and looked up at the sky, "I couldn't sleep." she said, "You are looking at the stars?"
I nodded, "Yes."
"I see." She said, "Did you not want to join me in bed?"
"I'm fine. For now." I said as I took a sip of the wine, "Why? Did you want me in your bed?"
"It would have been nice." She smiled slightly
"Hm....." I said as I reached for her hand, "For my Wife, I would do anything."
I pulled her closer and sat her on my lap, rubbing her waist with my hand as I leaned in and kissed her shoulder. She couldn't help but smile more as she tucked her hair behind her ear.
"I've given it some thought." She said
"What is it?" I asked her
"I wouldn't mind another child." She said, "I think it would be nice."
"Even if you were protesting before?" I asked
"I think it's too late to complain about many children." She said, "We are a big family, after all. So many kids, they will grow to be wonderful people, I am sure."
"You sure hope so." I said with a slight smirk, "But we'll see."
She leaned against me and looked up at the sky, "Can I ask you something?"
"What is it?" I told her
"What do you plan for Visenya?" She asked me
"Nothing." I said, "If there is one thing that Riktor considered, it was that I would find it a waste of resources to return her or Maegor to the void. Because it would be. All that trouble...just wasted. But we'll see what happens later. She does seem very different; it is unsettling."
"Is this part of your experiment?" She asked me
"In a way." I told her, "Riktor will learn what his priorities are, Maegelle."
"I know." She said softly, "I miss him."
"He'll be fine." I said
"His relationship with her reminded me of something." She told me, "My Mother told me of a dream she had."
"I know the dream." I said
"She and Riktor....." She gulped
"It won't happen." I said, "That was a probable future and I have already moved things around to prevent that future from happening. Don't worry about it."
She pulled away and stood up, "You say that..." She said as she stepped away, "But is it wrong of me to still worry?"
"Not really." I said, "You see, you may be of dragon's blood, but you're still mortal. There is only a very limited number of things someone like you can do."
"What does that mean?" She looked at me with a frown
I sighed and leaned back, closing my eyes, "Fate.....Time....." I said, "It is like a written book. Regular mortals cannot read the pages of said book. But someone like me can. I've read ahead...and I didn't like what I read."
"What....?" She said softly
"Alysanne and Alyssa's dreams....they won't happen. I've already made moves that would prevent that. There is a different book that has been written. One that I rewrote by simply existing here." I said seriously, my eyes still closed, "All of this...Fate...everything...it was predetermined. A set future, a set fate, was already in store from the moment life sprouted in this world. But the moment I crashed through this world's barriers and landed here, everything was scrambled. I am Chaos...so obviously, everyone's fates and futures were bound to change. Except for a few people who I stopped influencing."
"You are saying that your mere presence changed everything that was supposed to happen?" She asked me, "And you know what was supposed to happen?"
I opened my eyes and looked at her, "Yes." I said, "Everything. I know what would have happened to you, my beautiful Maegelle. And know this; you should be glad I came into your life, that you bore my children. Because the fate that was in store for you was a heartbreaking one."
She frowned, "I....." She said, "Everything has a predetermined fate...that....that is how prophecies work, right?"
"Prophecies." I said with a scoff, closing my eyes once again, "Yes, you can say that. They are part of something greater. Every single thing that happens is part of a plan. A grand plan...a Great Design. It's all-..."
"It's all what?" She asked
I opened my eyes and stood up, my blood instantly boiling as I glared at the sky, staring at the stars.
"Y-You son of a fucking bitch!!!!!!" I shouted with pure anger in my voice, "WAS THIS YOUR PLAN ALL ALONG?! WERE YOU THIS AFRAID OF ME?! HUH?! WERE YOU BEHIND THIS?!?!?"
"Drakken?" Maegelle asked, her voice filled with concern, "W-What are you....."
"ANSWER ME, YOU FUCKING BASTARD." My vision became blurry as every fiber of my being shook with pure rage, "DID YOU DECIDE TO THROW ME HERE?!"
"ANSWER ME, DEMIURGE!!!!!"
