(Third Person POV)
"Hm....." Drakken said as he looked at the pages, "What is this supposed to be?"
He was looking at the schematics of an odd-looking crossbow, particularly larger than the usual ones. The frame was larger and wider while there seemed to be three bows instead of just one. Drakken was quite intrigued by the design, which looked incomplete.
"It's a new type of crossbow I decided to design." Sylas said as he stood in front of the desk, his hands behind his back, "I took inspiration from the Myrish Crossbow, which can shoot three rounds before having to reload."
"I used one, not impressed." Drakken said, "You have to manually crank the string back to shoot the remaining two after the first."
"Yes, well...." Sylas cleared his throat, "This design will overcome that. Aside from adding more power."
"More power?" Drakken asked him
"I've used the Myrish design." Sylas said, "It is just as you say, and while it is convenient, it lacks power.....at least in my opinion. It is accurate and deadly, yes.....a single shot to an exposed part of the body will cause significant damage. But if the enemy is armored, I don't know how effective it would be. I like absolute results...."
Drakken set the paper down, "And how does this overcome it?"
"Three bowstrings so that once the trigger is pressed, three bolts will rapidly fire at the same time." Sylas said as he took a step forward, "But not just that, the bolts are a bit larger and thicker, stronger in general. I need to test it thoroughly, but if my hypothesis is true, it can cause significant damage to any armor. No matter who it is, this weapon can kill them. Shields, armor, wooden barricades. One single round will be lethal."
"How would reloading work?" Drakken asked
"Well.....details still need to be finished." Sylas scratched his cheek, "But a crank that will pull all three strings back and I have designed a bolt loader, just need to craft it. It would load the bolts smoothly and quickly. At least in theory."
"Theory, hm?" Drakken said, "I see."
"Is this what you wanted to speak about?" Sylas asked him
"Yes." Drakken said, "Quite an interesting design, Sylas. Do you want me to make it? Something like this won't take much imagining for me."
"If it's possible, i would like to craft it myself." Sylas told him, "I have other...ideas...."
"Ideas?" Drakken asked with a raised eyebrow
Sylas pulled out a small empty perfume bottle, "The Golden Fragance." He said, "I've found a way to weaponize it."
His father narrowed his eyes, "Weaponize it?"
"Yes." Sylas said, "The Golden Dust heated up becomes a bit volatile. But the way you've mixed it for the soothing perfumes it is a certain way. I've figured out how to mix it with other properties and create a slightly explosive property for it. I can-"
"I created that specifically for your Mother to heal others." Drakken cut him off, "It is what she is known for. And you tell me you spat in the face of that and weaponized it? What makes you think I couldn't make something like that? And if I didn't, wouldn't you assume it was for a reason?"
"Father...." Sylas said, "I....."
Drakken leaned on the table, "Thread carefully, Sylas." He said, "The last thing I want is for the reputation of your Mother to be thrashed around because of your ambitions."
"My ambitions?" Sylas asked
"Your mind is an interesting thing." Drakken told him, "I am impressed by the ingenuity you possess."
"T-Thank you, I think...." Sylas said
"This crossbow...." Drakken said, "What do you think would happen if someone gets their hands on these designs? If they create this thing and use it against us? Have you wondered about that?"
"I have." Sylas said, "And it shouldn't matter. We are House Drakkengard, our might is absolute."
"Yes, but what if they use it against our allies?" Drakken asked, "Have you considered that?"
"I have." Sylas said, "But the truth is, it won't matter. Not against my power. If something like that happens, I will take responsibility. I am your son, I have power that nobody can replicate. If this gives them a false hope that they can oppose us, then they will challenge us. And isn't that good for us? Good for business? To create War?"
Drakken stared at him for a couple of seconds without saying anything.
"Hm..." He said finally, "I suppose so."
"And.....if my design can be finalized, I think it would be a good thing for our Duskguard." Sylas said, "Don't you think so? It is something that can add to our Military Might."
"Sure." Drakken cleared his throat, "Listen, I am going to leave for about a week again. I wanted to speak to you about this and something else before I go."
"Oh." Sylas said, "What is it?"
"When I return, I am taking you once again to King's Landing. Actually, I think Saera is going too." Drakken said, "When we go there, I want you to get that magical charm you had years ago and use it on Daenerys again."
"Oh?" Sylas said, a bit excited
"I'm betrothing the two of you." Drakken stood up, "I figure I would do that for one of my sons. And I guess it's you...."
"Your Brother has been a pain in the dick lately."

[Near Volantis]
Maegor walked out of his tent, spitting on the ground as he had a sheathed sword on his hand, "Tch...." He said as he walked towards the center of the camp, "Eight entire fucking months since we've been here. When will it end?"
A Duskguard Knight was standing in the middle of the camp, crossing his arms as Maegor reached him, "We've spotted three of them recently." He said, "They're not happy after you killed their big one."
Maegor cracked his neck, "Stupid fucking pricks." He said with an annoyed tone, "It is their fault for following the Red Cunts. At least they're not affiliated with the woman who approached us all that time ago."
"We're to head to the delivery point soon." The Knight told him, "Another shipment will arrive soon. This time, more food and supplies than usual. We're still to stay here a while."
Maegor sighed, "For fuck's sake." He said, "When will it end?"
"That incident really pissed Our Lord off." the Knight told him, "We did warn you not to listen to those people, but you couldn't think clearly."
He scowled, "Shut the fuck up."
"Well well well...." A voice said
Maegor turned around to see Drakken standing a few feet away from them. All of the Duskguard Knights in the vicinity knelt down in the presence of their God, leaving Maegor to be standing.
"Ah, my loyal servants." Drakken said, "For your work, I will reward you with a bountiful shipment. It will arrive within three hours, so be quick."
"My Lord." a Knight said, "What of the nearby dragons?"
"They shouldn't be a problem." Drakken said as he crossed his arms, "I created them, they should not be an issue to my Duskguard."
Maegor looked at him, "Drakken." He said, "Time and time again, you promise me my reward and you keep stalling. When will I get it?! I have killed the threat that was that azure dragon!"
"That dragon wasn't even close to being a threat to me." Drakken said, "But to you, maybe. The Targaryens? Possibly. You did well in killing it and its rider. My plans would have been screwed if it had gone to Westeros. But.....for that, I guess it is time."
He extended his hand, and an urn appeared on it.
Maegor widened his eyes, "I-Is it.....?" He said, "Is it going to happen???"
"Oh yea." Drakken said, "I think it's been long enough, Maegor. To further reinforce your loyalty to me..."
"I'm bringing her back."
