Lu Qingyan couldn't shake the feeling that a greater pitfall awaited him if he didn't find Father Lu.
He had intended to send someone to search, but in that instant, he decided to go himself to see the situation firsthand.
"How long will you be gone?" asked Jiang Nanshu.
Lu Qingyan pondered for several seconds before replying, "If all goes well, three to four days. If not, around a week. I'll hurry back as soon as I can."
Jiang Nanshu didn't try to stop him, wrapping her arms around his waist, "Come back soon."
Lu Qingyan let out a low chuckle, his chest vibrating with the sound, "Will you miss me?"
Jiang Nanshu yawned, "The baby will miss you."
"Playing tough," he huffed lightly, "Alright, time to sleep."
As she slept in the warm embrace of Lu Qingyan, Jiang Nanshu drifted off into a drowsy slumber.
The next morning, Lu Qingyan's presence was already missing.
He had sent a message to Jiang Nanshu and then left Beijing.
He should be boarding the plane by now.
