Learning both the defensive and offensive skills may have taken some time, but to Yin Lian, that time passed by in the blink of an eye and before she knew it, she had already learned them both to a degree that shouldn't be possible for someone her age.
Even the Will of the Inheritance was surprised, but just chalked it up to either an innate talent or just the fact that she was young.
Either way, once she finished learning those techniques, she was given some proper clothes before finally being let out. Ther was just one last thing the Will had to give her before she started to ascend the steps out of here though, the Will gave her something that should help her out.
"Here, before you go, take this. It's a pouch that you can use to store things in. It has a spatial expansion enchantment on it, giving it a cubic metre of space in there. I've already given you some supplies, the rest will be up to you. Oh, and make sure to always keep the temple in your sights so you don't get lost."
Yin Lian nodded, tying the pouch to her new belt and finally started to ascend the steps to get back out into the real world.
And the first real trial that she would face, is stairs. Because there were many, many stairs that she had to climb first before she even reached the top.

It took several hours, but Yin Lian was eventually able to reach the top, but she was dead tired by the end of it. And not because she ran out of energy either, but simply because that was the most physically draining thing she'd done since she first woke up here.
At least the sun was setting, so that was lucky for her, since it meant that she wouldn't mess up her sleep cycle.
Deciding that it would be best for her to sleep now, Yin Lian searched the pouch for a pillow and a blanket to sleep under for the night. Which thankfully, the Will had packed for her.

The following morning, Yin Lian was awoken by the faint and distant roar of a wild beast just after sunrise.
Her eyes snapped open and she immediately stuffed the pillow and blanket into her storage pouch and rushed out to find the source of that roar.
But before she could even reach the landscape, she had to deal with the sun. The moment she stepped out into the light, her eyes started to burn.
Not literally of course, but it had been so long since she'd seen the sun or any real source of light for that matter.
She immediately retreated back under the eternal shadow cast by the Temple that didn't seem to change no matter where the sun hung in the sky.
The interior of the Inheritance was always just kind of, lit up, with no discernible source of light anywhere, with maybe the exception of the soft glow of a Spirit Stone, which glowed a very faint blue.
But that was overshadowed by the light that permeated the Inheritance.
And Yin Lian hadn't seen the light of the Sun in nearly two whole years at this point, so her eyes had been adjusted to the dark space she had inhabited in that time, so the sun's blinding radiance was too much for her.
Yin Lian retreated back into the shadows as her eyes watered as the light buzzed in her pupils, making her only able to see a blinding white even with her eyes closed.
No amount of rubbing her eyes seemed to work to placate her pain, and it only got worse the more she rubbed her eyes.
Eventually, she decided to just sit down and wait, getting the pillow out and stuffing her face in it just because it was a nice feeling compared to the pain in her eyes.
And after some many hours, the pain in Yin Lian's eyes faded and she was able to open them once more. The light had faded away long ago but the pain remained.
As Yin Lian pulled the pillow away from her face, she opened her now puffy eyes and could just barely make out that it had been stained with her tears, creating a pair of spots with a line tracing downwards from each.
In a fit of rage, she threw the pillow away in front of her and crossed her arms. But then she realised that she had thrown it out of the Temple's shadow and into the light of the sun. And even that was hard to look at right now.
Yin Lian's anger started to boil at her own impulsiveness. She wanted to just get up and storm over to her pillow, but she could barely even lift her head to look at it without her eyes stinging.
She didn't want to admit it, but she needed to control her anger, just as the Will had said, because if this is what she was like when she encountered a real situation, or a real fight? Then she knew that she would die instantly, just like the Will said she would.
Her body trembled partially regret and a slight amount of sorrow, but mostly she felt angry. All she could do now, was wait for night to come so that she could grab her pillow and at that point, just go to sleep.
In the meantime, all she could do was train her eyes slowly to adjust to the brightness of the sun's beams.

Night came and went. And for Yin Lian, although she could somewhat tolerate the light, she was still unable to look up and observe her surroundings properly.
Everything to her was just far too bright and colourful compared to the dark and dreary colours and tones present inside the Inheritance grounds.
Even spending the entirety of that whole day, Yin Lian wasn't able to completely adjust. Only managing to be able to see the sprawling forest, but the moment the sky came into view, it was too much.

The following day came, marking this as the third day after she had left the Inheritance, not the Inheritance grounds, but just the inheritance.
But finally, just a few hours before the sun began to set, Yin Lian was able to see in the light properly. But it was far too late for her to venture out into the forest. By the time she would find a beast, it would most likely already be night time, and she would have no way to find her way back to the Inheritance site for safety.
She may be eager to set out into the world and test her newfound powers, but now that she had calmed down, she was able to think and know that it would be best for her to start her hunt tomorrow instead.
And, that's exactly what she intended to do.

The next morning, Yin Lian woke up at the crack of dawn, her eyes snapping open as she immediately got up and put her blanket and pillow away again.
This time, nothing would stop her from hunting down a wild beast and killing it.
Yin Lian's bloodlust would no longer be held back by anything.
She rushed over towards the steps all the way at the front that would allow her to descend unto the forest. Once reached, she immediately started to descend them, nearly tripping and falling a couple of times here and there, but ultimately getting down safely without any real trouble.
At the bottom, Yin Lian jumped onto the ground with glee and took in a deep breath of the surrounding air.
She sighed with contentment as she just stood there taking the air in and let the serenity of nature surround her.
But that serenity didn't last longer than a minute, as the roar of a beast could be heard, followed by the cry of a bird of some kind.
And immediately, Yin Lian's bloodlust was activated in full force as she ran in the direction she heard these noises came from to fight.
It didn't take long for her to find traces of a fight between the two beasts she heard earlier, which she then started tracing to their current location.
Another roar and screech from the two beasts rang out, much louder this time, meaning that she wasn't far, and that she would soon be upon them both.
Yin Lian's heartrate increased and her body started to warm up as the thought of finally unleashing all her rage and frustration boiled over in pure unadulterated excitement.
And just a minute later, she came out onto a clearing. It wasn't really a clearing, more of an area where a bunch of trees had been knocked over, creating an open area to fight.
The air was thick as the two beasts that were fighting stopped at the intrusion of a third party. They could both sense the bloodlust coming from her, but they weren't just going to team up either.
This was now a three way battle.
