I didn't know if Dove noticed or he just did a good job at pretending he didn't but ever since we had left the hotel my hands hadn't stopped shaking. I had to shove them in my jeans pockets just to stop them. I was grateful I had changed to sneakers too because by now my spurs could have gotten caught up in something which would have been more embarssing.
My brain had been all over the place. Daniel called it a depressive episode when I had called him this morning and stupidly had told me 'the truth will set you free'. It was easier said than done and by the look on Dove's face it looked like he had long predicted pending doom. It ripped my guts apart. I didn't want to hurt him, I didn't want to break his heart but I knew prolonging it wouldn't help anyone.
