The dining room was calm and inviting, bathed in warm, ambient light.
Dinner wasn't dangerous or thrilling, but it held its own charm, steeped in a beautiful, intimate atmosphere.
Aiko had outdone herself, preparing a sumptuous meal that was perfectly portioned for three. Most of the dishes laid out on the table were Mei Mei's favorites, a fact that did not go unnoticed by her sharp eyes.
Mei Mei glanced at the table, her sharp eyes taking in every detail—the glistening plates, the perfectly arranged dishes, the candlelight casting an inviting glow.
Her eyebrows arched in mild surprise as her gaze shifted to Liam.
"You've certainly done your homework," She remarked, her lips curving into a sly, almost feline smile. "How did you know these are my favorites? Or is this just a lucky guess?"
Liam leaned back in his chair, the faintest smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"I don't believe in luck, Mei Mei," He said smoothly, his voice low and deliberate. "I make it a point to know what my women like."
He paused, letting his words sink in, his gaze locked on hers. "And this? This is just the appetizer. Trust me, the main course is still to come."
Mei Mei's smile widened, but there was a sharp glint in her eyes as if silently challenging him. "Bold of you to assume I'll stick around for dessert."
Liam chuckled, a deep, velvety sound that filled the space between them.
"Oh, you'll stick around," He said, reaching for his glass of wine and swirling it lazily. "You're curious. And I plan to make it worth your while."
Across the table, Aiko's soft giggle broke the tension. She was refilling Liam's glass, her every movement fluid and precise, like she was performing a ritual rather than a simple task.
"Careful, Master," Aiko teased, her voice light but tinged with a playful edge. "If you keep throwing out lines like that, you might scare her off."
Liam turned his attention to Aiko, his smirk deepening. "Scare her off? I think not."
He reached out, his fingers brushing against Aiko's wrist, sending a shiver up her spine. "And don't pretend you don't love it when I 'throw out lines.'"
Aiko's cheeks flushed a delicate pink, but she didn't shy away. Instead, she leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a whisper only he could hear. "You know I do. But I also know how much you love a challenge."
Mei Mei watched the exchange with amusement, her sharp mind analyzing every word, every glance. Aiko wasn't just a maid—her devotion to Liam was written in every move she made, from the way she poured his wine to the way she seemed to hang on his every word.
She wasn't just serving him; she was worshipping him.
"Do I need to leave you two alone?" Mei Mei asked dryly, her tone laced with humor.
Liam's eyes flicked back to her, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "Jealous, Mei Mei? Don't worry, there's plenty of me to go around."
"Oh, please," Mei Mei scoffed, though the spark in her eyes betrayed her amusement. "If I wanted you, Liam, you'd already be mine."
"Is that so?" Liam leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table, his gaze intense. "Because I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. If I wanted you, Mei Mei, you wouldn't stand a chance."
The air between them crackled with tension, the kind that danced on the edge of flirtation and something darker.
"Well," Mei Mei said, lifting her glass and taking a slow sip. "I guess we'll never know, will we?"
Aiko decided to intervene. She set down the wine bottle and placed a hand lightly on Liam's shoulder.
"Play nice, Master," She murmured, her tone playful but with a hint of warning. "You know how much trouble you get into when you push too hard."
Liam chuckled, patting Aiko's hand. "Trouble is half the fun, isn't it, Aiko?"
"Only if you're the one dishing it out," She replied with a wink.
As the evening wore on, the banter grew bolder.
"So, Aiko," Mei Mei began, her tone casual but her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Do you always cater to Liam's every whim like this? Or is tonight special?"
Aiko tilted her head, her lips curving into a soft, knowing smile. "I live to serve, Mei Mei. It's… fulfilling."
"Fulfilling," Mei Mei echoed, her eyebrow arching. "That's one way to put it."
Liam leaned back, watching the interplay between the two women with a satisfied smirk.
"Aiko's loyalty is unmatched," He said, his tone almost reverent. "She knows what I want before I even ask for it. Isn't that right, Aiko?"
"Always, Master," Aiko replied softly, her eyes lowering in a gesture of submission that didn't go unnoticed by Mei Mei.
"Impressive," Mei Mei said, her tone neutral but her expression unreadable. "Though I can't decide if it's admirable or… something else entirely."
Liam chuckled, a low, rumbling sound. "Stick around long enough, Mei Mei, and you might just find out."
The dinner ended on a high note, the playful banter giving way to genuine laughter and the occasional stolen glance. As they rose from the table, Liam extended a hand to Mei Mei, his eyes gleaming with a challenge.
After the plates had been cleared and Aiko had gone to tidy up, Liam reached into his pocket and pulled out a sleek black card. He held it out to Mei Mei, who took it with a curious expression.
"That's 100 million," Liam said casually, as if discussing the weather. "Consider it an advance. Money will be added to that account on the first day of every month."
Mei Mei's eyes widened slightly as she examined the card, a teasing smile forming on her lips.
"This feels suspiciously like an employee contract," She joked, slipping the card into her bag.
Liam smirked, leaning closer to her. "Employee? No, Mei Mei. Let's get one thing straight—you belong to me now."
Her playful expression faltered for just a moment, replaced by a flicker of intrigue. The way he said it, so matter-of-factly, sent a shiver down her spine. She stared at him, her gaze unwavering.
"I had a feeling you'd want to take this a step further," She said, her tone measured yet curious. "After our fun earlier, I expected you'd want to seal the deal completely. What's stopping you, Liam? Afraid to go all the way with me?"
Liam chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Oh, I knew you'd think that. Most women in your position would."
He leaned back in his chair, his smirk never fading.
"But where's the fun in rushing? Leaving you to anticipate it, to crave it, is far more entertaining. Now, you'll think about me all the time. And that's exactly what I want."
Mei Mei was momentarily speechless, caught off guard by his words. She hadn't expected him to be so calculated, so intentional. It was rare for someone to outmaneuver her, but Liam was proving to be an exception.
Her lips curled into a genuine smile as she leaned in, her voice dropping to a whisper. "You're dangerous, Liam. But I like that."
She pressed her lips to his in a passionate kiss, one that lingered just long enough to leave her mark. When she finally pulled away, her eyes were bright with determination. "I'll think about you, all right. And I'll complete that mission. Consider it done."
She turned to leave, her movements graceful and deliberate, but before she could take more than a few steps, Liam's hand shot out with precision, delivering a sharp, deliberate slap to the curve of her butt.
The sound echoed faintly in the room, punctuating the charged atmosphere.
Mei Mei froze mid-step, her breath hitching as the unexpected touch sent a jolt of sensation through her. Slowly, she turned her head, her dark eyes smoldering with a mix of indignation and intrigue.
Liam leaned back in his chair, the corner of his mouth tugging into a smug, almost predatory smirk. His eyes locked onto hers, unyielding and brimming with authority.
"Don't forget who your master is,"
