Once in their cabin, Caleb proceded to fall onto one of the bed, he was exhausted, and just thinking of the fact they would go back down in the morning made him want to strangle someone.
"Say, if I strangle one of their slaves, do you think Liam would get mad?"
He distinctly felt Daniel's eyes on him before hearing an answer from him.
"They wouldn't even bat an eye, but Liam would be pissed, even just a little. We both know he is the one fonctionning more on logic, we are not that far in the chaos for him to dischard his logical thinking and listen solely to David."
Caleb sighs, even more stressed.
After a while, he sits and turns to Daniel who looks a him, curious.
"Hey, I know that even if we spent three months together alone out there, I have been really cold with you."
Daniel comes to sit on the other bed, face to Caleb.
"And I would really like if we could go back to before all that crawler and apochalypse, but as we can't, I want to start over without really starting over? Because you're still my best friend and I may be a little bit of a git now, but I really want us to let go of that tension between us."
They looked at each other for a while, and Daniel sighed before going to hug Caleb.
Caleb sagged against him and they hugged for a long while. He didn't know, but fast forward, he would look at this day and spit on it.
He should have exiged full attention, he really didn't want to share.
He should ask Liam if he has a way to permantly get rid of competitions.
