Planet Tianxu is vast and beautiful. Its design gave it an ancient yet modern take on Chinese culture. From the air to the way they dress. Everything about them is just too ancient in a way.
It has three races - Humans, Spirit Beasts, and Sky Foxes.
The Spirit Beasts are, of course, the strongest of them. Among them, the Spirit Rocs rule the entirety of the beast race. They are very powerful, but they aren't stronger than humans alone.
However, while the Sky Foxes are also of the beast race, long ago they chose to separate themselves from the rest of the beast race and took refuge in the Sky City. It is a large floating island that is surrounded by illusion.
Naturally, they made this decision because of how Humans and other races treated them. As the weakest race in Tianxu, they are mainly at the mercy of the Humans and the Beasts.
So with only their strongest suit being illusions, when the chance came for them to run, they did... That was 5000 years ago.
