As Chris listened to Howard's announcement displayed on the TV screen, his eyes widened in amazement as he learned about the various powers that had emerged.
The list of abilities seemed endless – beast tamers, controllers, individuals with super strength, super speed, and super endurance. Not to talk of those with elemental abilities as well. Chris's mind began to spin with the possibilities, and he found himself thinking of people he knew who might possess these powers.
One person in particular came to mind when he thought of super strength: Dave. Chris recalled the matches at the casino, where Dave had demonstrated his incredible physical prowess.
His one-hit fame, the way he had effortlessly taken down his opponents – it all made sense now. Chris's memories of those matches replayed in his mind, and he realized that Dave's strength had been more than just talent, but instead a power he had.
